We leave from P dock at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook behind our retail store Ocean Surfari at 9am and head to St John to pick up guests on the beach in Cruz Bay at 9:30. From there we cruise over to a snorkel spot to see beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish at Little St James. Next, we head to Christmas Cove at Great St James for another fantastic snorkel while we wait for our fresh pizza lunch to be delivered via dinghy from Pizza PI, the sailboat famous for their pizza kitchen. Sodas, water, beer, rum punch and painkillers are available with the open bar (alcohol is served AFTER snorkeling is done). After an early lunch, we cruise back to St John to drop our guests off at 12 and then head back to St Thomas at 1230.
If you are on a cruise ship shore excursion, you must select the option that includes transportation from the cruise ship port to our dock. If you are on a ship and do not include our transportation, a refund will not be given if you do not make it to our dock on time.

Best snorkel excursion ever - TIME OF MY LIFE!!! Cj and Darian were our ALL GIRL CREW (you know that made me happy) Music was so diverse and GOOD!! They took us to two snorkeling spots that were amazing. My sister in law had extreme fear and they were so patient with her, even assisting with her getting comfortable. Pizza was good, drinks made by Darian were better than most bar drinks lol ... We sang, we danced we had a great time. It also helped being on board with folks that wanted to mingle and party too ... definitely a MUST DO in St Thomas

Snorkeling Party - The staff were so friendly and worked so hard for us! We loved, loved snorkeling on St. James!!! We saw turtles, sting rays and beautiful fish! They gave us plenty of time in each snorkeling spot - so nice not to be hurried. I didn’t think the people on the boat had it in them but there we were, dancing laughing and loving the sunset!

Memorable! - I was traveling with my husband plus my 3 boys, and we had a great time. From beginning to end Andy and Steve were very helpful, patient and accommodating. During the snorkeling at Little St. James and St. John we saw tropical fish and even a medium sized octopus changing color as it swam away. The scenery and fish were amazing. Then we enjoyed some leisure time relaxing from all the swimming/snorkeling with some great pizza from Pizza Pi as well as the drinks on the boat. The painkiller was my favorite and I'm not much of a drinker, but I really enjoyed it. I can't swim so right from the start Steve was by my side in the water making sure I was comfortable and safe. Once he saw that I became more confident with the floaties he let me go out on my own with my husband nearby. His kindness and patience made me feel more confident. This is my second time snorkeling. My first time was in St. Croix, but I have to say that this time around I definitely felt more confident and at ease due to Steve's help. We took lots of great pictures and videos. Especially, with our GoPro. This was definitely a memorable experience we will never forget. Thank you, Andy and Steve, for making this trip a safe and great one for me and my family. I would recommend this trip to anyone including friends and family. Keep up the great work! From the Figueroa Family :)

A Perfect Excursion! - My husband and I went on this excursion last week and it was fabulous. From start to finish these guys know what they are doing and they do it well. We got there early and hung out in the store before we took off, and the staff there were welcoming and kind. We had forgotten our snorkel shirts; so we bought them there, where almost everything is buy 1 get one Free! We also received a $10 coupon that we could use in the store. Our captains on the boat were Steve and Dallas, and they both have great personalities and good taste in music which they played on the fast parts of the boat ride. They made the morning fun! Snacks, sodas, and an open bar (after swimming) were all free and easy. We saw tons of fish, a couple manta rays, and the sweetest sea turtle who was grabbing some lunch on the sea grass and then coming up for sips of air. He was beautiful! The Pizza was good; I was so hungry after snorkeling that I don't really remember it. It got eaten fast, but there was plenty for all. The cruise was very family oriented, and we enjoyed the other guests with us on the trip. It was a blast!

St. James Snorkel and Pizza Review - Our tour was amazing. We first went snorkeling off Little Saint James, more infamously known as, "Epstein Island." Albeit having very dark history, it is powerful to see the compound, and the snorkeling is some of the best in the V.I. Our next stop was Christmas Cove, another excellent site for snorkeling. Pizza was delivered, drinks made ad libitum, and we were dropped off at our respective locations the tour as a whole lasted 3 hours, which is the perfect amount of time for novice snorkelers, and the captain brought his dog, one of the sweetest in the world. I highly recommend this expedition.

Great experience and value for the cost. - We had a great time. The crew was very personable and ensured we enjoyed ourselves. Very good value for the cost. Seeing sea turtles was probably the highlight. Our high school aged children were (oddly) excited about swimming of St. James island, with its infamous history. Half day trip was perfect for our family.

Top STT activity! - Dallas and Steve were great - totally fun and made the trip great for myself and for my students. We were on a different snorkeling trip yesterday and out of the two this one was the one. Great snorkeling in St. James and Christmas Cove as well and Pizza Pi is the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

Amazing snorkeling experience - This was really nice. This was my first time snorkeling. We did snorkeling in two different areas. All equipment is provided. Lunch was also included as well as snacks and drinks. We were on the boat until sunset. It was so beautiful especially since we did some sightseeing after the snorkeling. Also had a little dance party on the boat afterwards. The crew were extremely accommodating. I would recommend this to everyone. They also pick up at St. John. Great experience.

Best Snorkel Excursion! - Ocean Surfari Charters ..
Darien (?), Steve and another female employee (I’m sorry I forgot her name, sign of some good drinks they made 🤪) on today’s 2 pm (5/31/24) “Do It All” Trip .. Hands Down THE ABSOLUTE BEST .. Such a great time on today’s excursion to two snorkeling spots, pizza/open bar, music/dance party and view of the sunset .. Highly recommend! ♥️

Didn’t end up going - Trip cancelled because they couldn’t get the right permit from coastguard so bummed and we couldn’t reschedule because they weren’t getting a permit
