The MV Hydra is equipped with a FUSION music system, allowing you to enjoy your favorite tracks. The bow features roomy walk-thru seating, transom seats, and our specially-designed bean bag seats. The yacht’s stern provides wide-ranging seating, both covered and uncovered, on our tailored marine sofas. The onboard restroom, complete with washdown areas, adds an extra touch of comfort.
- Seas the Day USVI is dedicated to a healthy experience. We have partnered with RayBiotech and all of our Captains and Crew are tested for Covid 19 each month. You will see each wearing a Covid Free bracelet. Each of our vessels are sanitized after each trip using established CDC and WHO guidelines. Since this is primarily an outdoor activity, masks are not required but can be worn by our guests if preferred.

Full Day Boat Charter - Had a great day with Seas the Day Charters with captain Bryan and first mate Kianna. Snorkeling experience was wonderful, saw lots of marine life, including sea turtles. Bryan’s suggestion of lunch in Lovango was spot on and delicious. Thank you for an amazing day!

Amazing day with Captain Aaron on MV Hydra!! - We had the most wonderful day with Captain Aaron!!! My husband and I went on a full day tour aboard MV Hydra. Aaron showed us all of the sights and gave us so much information. He helped us get comfortable with snorkeling in deep water. I would highly recommend this boat and Captain!! This exceeded all of our expectations!!

5 star experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - We had the best time on our all day private catamaran excursion. Captain Aaron and Coleman made our trip so memorable by taking us to the best snorkeling spots and getting us to Water Island for lunch and swimming. They were truly the best and it honestly felt like we were out there with friends. This was truly a 5 star experience for my family of 5 including 3 kids ages 7, 12 and 14👍

So Much Fun!! - Capt Bryan and Caitlyn were great!! They were patient as we were running late, very informative about the land and gave lots of cool fun facts, very transparent about pricing and they kept the ride fun and gave us a great experience for the time we had!!! Definitely recommend and would book again for future vacations!

Islands, and turtles and sting rays - oh my - Billy and Kianna were great. Cool stories about the islands, great advice on where to snorkel - and we saw over 10 turtles, several rays and lots of cool fish. We had adults and kids on our trip and it was fun for everyone! Highly recommended.

Fantastic Full Day of Snorkeling & Lunch! - Captain Greg and Nate treated us to a fantastic day of sightseeing, snorkeling, and lunch. On the way to Maho Bay, Greg and Nate took us on a tour of the St. John coast, highlighting points of interest and history along the way.
Snorkeling at Maho Bay was awesome. Our group saw turtles, rays, and a variety of other fish. I recommend venturing over near the rocky shore as we saw a different set of creatures there vs the open bay.
We next headed to Waterlemon Cay for more exceptional snorkeling. We saw an octopus there and another vast array of sea life.
On the way back, we had lunch at Lovango Beach Club. Beautiful site for pictures and just relaxing!
This trip was absolutely one of the highlights of our vacation. Greg and Nate provided just the right amount of history, humor, and local info!

Highly Recommended - All the arrangements worked out for our family group of 7. The Hydara was comfortable and had plenty of shaded cover. Captain Gregg and assistant Nate were friendly and most accommodating with my 87 yr. old mother. Nate was particularly friendly and outgoing. Plenty of drinks offered. The itinerary worked out great and enjoyed the snorkeling, though not coral reefs at Brewers Bay. Only drawback was the ladder to get back up into the ship. It was too short to access the bottom rung easily and the rungs themselves were pretty painful to step on to.

Don’t trust the photos! Bait and switch ruined our charter day. - I am at a loss of how to start this review. We were traveling to St Thomas - 2 families with children age 7-11 and we were so excited for a day on the water snorkeling and visiting the different islands. We reviewed all the charter companies and their vessels and chose Seas the Day based on reviews and vessel selection. Hope was lovely to speak with leading up to the trip making us even more confident that our experience would be great. Then the day of the trip arrived and we went to the port ready to board the MV Hydra when the company did a complete bait and switch on us. They had the Island Flyer ready and only offered this vessel for our day. They claimed that we were notified - but no email or voicemail was received and we had a feeling this bait and switch was standard practice for them. Putting beautiful photos online and then when you arrive and have no other options they serve you up an old run down vessel instead.
The Island Flyer was not even close to a comparable boat lacking the appropriate 10ft of size, seating and sun coverage for our family day on the ocean.
They offered us a $200 stipend for the change after we complained but really they ruined our day and couldn’t have cared less. With so many reputable companies offering charters in the USVI, I would highly recommend that you look elsewhere.

Seeing the islands at 3.5 knots... - Let me start by saying the people at Seas the Day were very nice and we enjoyed the days with them.
We booked 2 private charters with Seas the Day (STD) in March 2023. On this cruise, our power catamaran was not available. STD notified us right before departure we'd be upgraded to a sailing catamaran and refunded $300. That sounded good...except the sailing catamaran was incapable of deploying its sails and could only muster a maximum of 5 knots under power. We were unable to tour the islands as we were moving so slowly.
For our second outing, we waited at the dock well past our pickup. We finally received a call that there were problems, so we'd be picked up in a small boat. More problems occurred and we waited until an hour after our appointed time and were indeed picked up in a tiny power boat to take us out. We powered around looking for our sailing catamaran and finally found it - and again, it could not sail. We again had very limited range as our max speed with current and the wind was approximately 3.5 knots. After the morning delay, we hit a couple of spots and then were advised we needed to leave right away to get back to the dock - we were dropped promptly at 4pm - not a second late - after starting our day 1:15 late. STD took the position that they refunded us $300 for the earlier snafu and did not see any reason for any further refund.
