-Our journey takes us roughly 50km from Hoi An to the sanctuary of My Son. This place is home to numerous Champa temples, nestled within a valley that spans about two kilometers, ensconced between two mountain ranges. It was once the religious ceremony ground for the kings of the Champa civilization and also served as the final resting place of Champa’s royalty and national heroes. The temple complex at My Son is one of the premier Hindu temple sites in South East Asia and is arguably the best heritage site of such kind in Vietnam. Although the complex has suffered destruction over the ages, many majestic ancient temple ruins still dot the area. We also take a detour to visit the Tra Kieu Church before making our way back to the Marble Mountain
-The Marble Mountains are renowned for their rich history of traditional stonemasonry.
