Pedaling Through Dunedin’s Creative Heart

Upon meeting our guide, Russ, I immediately sensed his deep connection to the community. Our journey continued to the Institute for Creative Arts, where we met Bill Coleman, a talented metal artist whose whimsical creations left me in awe. Meeting the artists, Carol and Blake, and hearing about their inspiration was a reminder of the power of art to transform spaces and bring joy to those who encounter it. The Dunedin Fine Arts Center, with its impressive collection of local and national exhibits, further showcased the city’s commitment to nurturing artistic talent.

Our final stops at Studio 1212 Art Gallery and Stirling Art Studios and Gallery offered a chance to engage with a diverse array of artists and their work. From oils and watercolors to stained glass and pottery, the variety of mediums on display was truly impressive. The opportunity to purchase artwork directly from the artists added a personal touch to the experience, allowing me to take a piece of Dunedin’s creative spirit home with me.
