Awesome private tour of Martha's Vineyard, well worth it! - Our experience started in the off season. I tried booking something online but couldn't get the time I wanted so I emailed the office. The ladies in the office were awesome! They were always very responsive either by email but also calling me. We ended up booking the private tour. We could not have more pleased. They even changed the start time to accommodate our ferry arrival. I was a little concerned about where to meet etc BUT I shouldn't have. I received text messages and calls about where to meet with specifics. I even received a text from our guide Sam. Everything went as planned. We had never been to Martha's Vineyard so we wanted an entire island tour with some Jaws highlights. Sam did not disappoint. We had the best tour! Sam was so knowledgeable he told us everything we wanted to know about Martha's Vineyard. He allowed us to get out several times for phot opps, scenic views, samples at the fishing village and delicious bake good at an honor bakery. He drive us through each town/village with wonderful explanations of each area. Even on the way to other locations he continued to regal us on life and times in the Vineyard. When I made a last minute change asking if he would mind dropping us off at the Martha's Vineyard Museum he was happy to help, even showing us where it was, where he would drop us, and how to take the bus back to the ferry. He even gave a suggestion for lunch at a nearby restaurant close to the Museum. We had the best time, we would highly suggest this tour and especially Sam as your guide. Again, the office was awesome too. The shuttle was roomy and comfortable too. Definitely take this tour. Do the private tour, it's totally worth it.

A pleasant and educational excursion around a fascinating area. - We had a very comfortable and informative excursion circling this very interesting island. It is intriguing to note its distinctive culture and it is also very understandable why so many memorable personalities have made their home here. Great experience with Dave Alton - Dave Alton gave us a great tour of the entire island. Included stops at key sites and time to explore. He had a monologue of the history of the island up to the present day that was very interesting.

Wonderful and entertaining tour with Dave Alton - Dave Alton was our tour guide and driver and was such a wonderful storyteller. As a longtime resident of Martha's Vineyard, he was incredibly knowledgeable and made for an entertaining three hours touring and learning about MV. Would highly recommend this particular tour and Dave Alton!

The best way to tour Martha’s Vineyard! - We only had one full day on MV so we decided to do a private tour. Our concierge at Harbor View Hotel set us up with Martha’s Vineyard Tours and Transportation and Cheryl was our driver/tour guide. Cheryl was outstanding! She’s a 5th generation MV resident, so she was able to tell us all about the history and life of MV, including fun stories about daily life on MV. We covered the entire island with interesting stops along the way. This was the perfect way for us to spend time on MV and we can 100% recommend Cheryl and MV Tours and Transportation!
