Highlights

Glenfiddich Distillery - Glenfiddich Distillery is one of the Speyside distilleries that we visit, bookings need to be made in advance, contact us to arrange a visit to this famous distillery . The tour takes 90 minutes and during the tour you will recieve tastings of the 12 year old , the 15 , 18 and 21 year old Glenfiddich whisky (for travelers with more them 18 years old).
The GlenAllachie Distillery - The GlenAllachie Distillery is a lovely Speyside distillery that visits can be arranged to. During the tour you will taste 2 drams of Glenallachie (for travelers more than 18 years old). Contact us in advance to assist you with booking times etc.
Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre - Speyside cooperage has been home to the ancient art of Coopering since 1947. We see the coopers shaping , shaving and charring casks for this integral part of the whisky industry.
Aberlour - We travel to the little town of Aberlour for lunch at The Mash Tun

This journey can be personalized to visit any distiller in Speyside. We’ve highlighted two fan favorites, but we’re more than ready to guide you to any of your choosing, even assisting with scheduling your visits. Our departure from Inverness is scheduled for 8am, heading straight to Dufftown – the heart of Speyside – to tour and taste from Scotland’s largest distillery, Glenfiddich. Next, we take you to get a glimpse of the craftsmen at Speyside Cooperage in Craigellachie, before heading to the Mash Tun in Aberlour for lunch. Once we finish our meal, we take a short trip to Glenallachie Distillery for our final tasting, before returning you back to your lodging in Inverness.

Spectacular Speyside!! - Lawrence gave us a great tour of Speyside! We had limited time due to our cruise ship schedule and Lawrence planned the schedule perfectly. He was even able to add another stop at the last minute because our travel was much quicker than we thought. He was very knowledgeable about the distillery industry and businesses while also answering all our questions about the history d the area. He even shared a wee dram of his favorite whisky (which was very good!). We can’t say enough positive about Lawrence and our trip and we would highly recommend Highlander Private Tours for all of your Speyside tour needs!

Excellent whiskey tour - We visited Macallan and Glenfiddich-Balvenie, two very different experiences; all. with excellent whiskey. Macallan is very posh and beautifully laid out. Well worth the visit. Glenfiddich and its sister distillery Balvenie is more down to earth and makes an excellent Cullen Skink soup. Speyside whiskey is at the top of my list. Billy was very knowledgeable about the history of the region and Scotland as a whole. He was full of stories and tidbits about the region and knows all the distilleries. He’s an excellent driver. We felt very comfortable in a very nice van.

The best private tour we have had! - Took great care of us and made the tour fun. Would recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for full personal and detailed attention to your well-being and accommodate what you are seeking to achieve in a private tour.

Amazing! - Absolutely amazing! My dad and I were in Inverness and we HAD to do Speyside whisky. We didn't have a car (and drunk driving laws in Scotland are very strict so we wouldn't have driven anyway). Did a bit of research and found Lawrence and this group and were absolutely blown away. He reached out directly and he was very responsive. He customized the trip based on what we wanted to do and was friendly, knowledgeable and really a value add to the day. He facilitated the tickets and tours ahead of time and was everything was quite smooth. The car was huge and comfortable and he had water and snacks. Honestly a perfect day. Ten out of ten, would do it again.

Speyside distillery customized tours. - This was an amazing day. Lawrence was an excellent driver and tour guide! He worked with us before our trip to be sure it was exactly what we wanted! Great knowledge, comfortable ride and a good time was had by all! I highly recommend!

Day out - Took this tour with some friends and really what a great day out it was We visited Glenfiddich distillery and did a tour and then visited the bar and had a lovely light lunch Thanks to Billy at Highlander tours for taking us around

Best personalized Speyside distillery tour - We had a great time on our Speyside distillery tours with Lawrence. He helped us customize an itinerary to visit the specific distilleries we were interested in that would work with our schedule. He was very friendly and easy to work with and provided all the details for our tour day. Our personalized tour was fantastic and went perfectly smoothly thanks to Lawrence's planning. He made great recommendations for where to visit and also included a few stops along the way for interesting landmarks and a cozy local lunch. We could not have been happier with how the day went and would absolutely recommend Highlander Private Tours and book with Lawrence for future visits.

Fantastic, fun day touring distilleries and local history - Lawrence was absolutely great. He made planning and booking multiple tours very easy for us and helped work out a realistic itinerary to cover as much as possible in our available time. Not only did he pull off the multiple requested stops, but worked in a few quick stops along the way and pointed out lots of local highlights and history. He was genuinely just a really nice guy to spend the day with and was very knowledgeable and friendly to my wife and I. Great recommendation on The Highlander Inn for lunch, and we enjoyed chatting with him during our drive. If we do make it back to the Inverness area, we already have a list of places we’d want to visit and would absolutely contact Lawrence again to make it happen.

Speyside Whisky Tour - Always wanted to do a speyside whisky tour, and so Organised this with Highlander private tours with Lawrence as our guide.. Had an amazing day. Special thanks to Lawrence for getting us into the incredible Macallan distillery on the day as this was not part of the original tour

Whisky Wonderland - Thanks to Lawrence for an amazing Tour of some of the distilleries of the speyside region. My personal highlights were the beautiful and relaxing lounge of the glenfiddich distillery where we enjoyed lovely service from the staff, and the truly incredible Macallan distillery, which can only be described as a whisky wonderland (hence the title)./ Thanks again Lawrence...until next time
