- Al Jazirat Al Hamra - At the turn of the century, this village comprised around 500 houses and was inhabited by the Zaab tribe. Sheikh Rajib bin Ahmed Al Zaabi, the ruler of Jazeera Al Hamra in 1820, was one of four independent signatories to the original 1820 treaty between the Trucial States and the British following the battle at Dhayah Fort in 1819. Al Jazeera Al Hamra was once a tidal island divided into two sections: the smaller northern quarter of Umm Awaimir and the southern quarter of Manakh. The Zaab tribe maintained a fleet of 25 pearling boats and tended to 500 sheep and 150 cattle until the pearl fishing industry collapsed in the 1920s.

Within a short walk, you can reach the top of the mountain where the upper fort, used to defend the village three centuries ago, was located.
- Al Rafisah Dam - Originally built in the 1980s, the dam has been upgraded with a new visitor center and rest area. Traveling toward Khorfakkan on the new Sharjah – Khorfakkan highway reveals the beautiful Al Rafisah Dam. The new road has reduced travel time from Sharjah to Khorfakkan to 45 minutes, allowing more visitors to enjoy the serene pleasures of the area, where a large, clear lake with boating facilities is overlooked by the magnificent Hajar mountains. The scenery is unmatched, with the sandstone mountain range looming over a pure azure reservoir, accompanied by a tranquil green landscape and a man-made waterfall, perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
- Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre - Immerse yourself in local culture at the impressive Khorfakkan Amphitheatre. Inspired by Roman architecture, it has quickly become a celebrated local landmark. The newly-built amphitheater covers over 1700 m² and can accommodate over 3500 spectators. It features a state-of-the-art cooling system, making it the ideal outdoor venue for upcoming events. Hungry visitors can also enjoy delicious dishes at the amphitheater’s restaurant and café. A magnificent 45 m-high waterfall cascades down next to the amphitheater. Although the waterfall is man-made, it was carved out of natural rock and is often illuminated at night. The structure was built with viewing windows at the top, which are sometimes open to the public. From there, visitors can watch water flow down the rock. Both the amphitheater and waterfall face Khorfakkan’s shimmering bay, allowing visitors to enjoy a stroll along the beach before experiencing a spectacular show.
