A great representation of DDR era transport. - I loved all of the East German machinery. It's not something that I have ever seen in other European auto museums outside the token Trabant.

Surprising technology. - A very interesting exhibition of traffic development in eastern Germany. Many exhibits have not been seen before. Everything explained with attention to detail. Entering some exhibits is also recommended.

Interesting and well organised - The Museum is organized into four sections: private vehicles, railways, aviation and navigation. The top floor offers a nice surprise for children and one dedicated to modeling (very well looked after and beautiful). Each section exposes the evolution of that medium in relation to industrial progress and political changes. Especially nice how the impact of the union of the two Germanys on navigation is explained. Very well told also but aviation section. I found it complete, accurate and well explained. Maybe I would add a few more benches to rest between one room and another.

Highly recommended - Well done and interestingly designed. Train, car, plane, ships, everything ordered and with lots of information about all eras. There is also a lot on offer for children.

Very interesting. - Museum located in the city center, on the pedestrian part, fairly easily accessible. All transport is presented here, air, sea, railways, cars. There are also workshops with Things to do for children. Many collectors' items, but the aviation is little represented, perhaps for lack of space apart from a replica of the plane with which Blériot had crossed the Channel. There is a huge miniature rail circuit that will delight young and old.

A small museum of means of transport, suitable as a side visit. - In a city like Dresden, this museum is suitable for a relaxing side visit. The best part in my opinion is the bikes, motorcycles and cars. It contains a working model of electric trains, but it is only turned on at specific times, so we only saw it from a standstill. From memory, I'd say it was on at 11 and 4:00, but check it out first.

A great dish of history of transportation - This place will show you the history of cars, bicycles, races, motorbikes, trains, aviation etc. The best thing not only for children is the huge model railway room.

Ok museum, but no more - The exhibition is divided into road transport, train and aviation. Is actually very well constructed, but does not come really in depth with the different areas. The place is really good for children, as there are many things they can play with and is a big model course they can watch. You can spend about an hour here.

Unfriendly staff - Unfriendly staff (guide). We were there on June 8th, 2024. The tickets for the tour were only given to selected people. Unfortunately, we were not there. Our children were looking forward to the tour and we could not take part because we did not have these tickets.
