Make sure you know how to... - Make sure you know how to work the speaker for the commentary. Sometimes it’s glitchy. There is an extra icon besides the number for your language and the volume. It can help. I really like the hop on hop off experience. It gives you a great overview of a city and its history. Then you are ready to explore.

Incorrect Ticket Info but great tour - Viator's voucher told us to go to an Address at Altmark in Dresden to exhange the voucher for tickets, however this address cannot be found. When we called the operator, Dresdner Stadtrundfahrten, they said they information is incorrect and we can get the tickets at the bus stop. Which we did.

Funny interesting - Nice experience. The bus passes interesting places and attractions. Very busy and waited for about twenty minutes in the beginning. Driver made jokes in German.

The main start is at... - The main start is at Postplatz/Zwinger, not at the address provided! I struggled to find the stops to get on the bus, but once I did it was lovely!

Nice ride in the unfortunately dirty bus. - Nice tour, unfortunately in a very unkempt bus (inside). Although we had one of the first tours in the morning. Unfortunately, no windshield wiper upstairs, when it rains you don't see much out front. Interesting explanations. Boarding at the fourth stop was impossible as buses were already full at the first stop. Overall rewarding.

Moderate to poor - I booked the city tour. You don't have to. Goes cheaper with a day ticket of public transport. Including was a night watchman rundgang.vden I booked then also. Except the night watchman didn't show. I stood with 3 other people at the meeting point and waited in vain. Not a good advertisement for Dresden.

Not a Happy Camper - The information provided by Viator showed an address for the tour and we spent a hour looking for the Viator office and or the meeting place for the start of the tour. After a phone call to the bus company office and asking numerous people for information, we learned that the voucher obtained online had to be redeemed for an actual ticket. The redemption point was not at all close to the address provided by Viator on the voucher. After redemption, we were presented with a map and brochure showing the location of the stops and we were told to go to Stop #1. The audio didn’t work on one of the two plugs for our seat; there were no other seats available on our bus. The loud speakers were broadcasting commentary in German and this interfered with our ability to listen to our audio in English. It made it very hard to understand. The audio timing was off and not in sync with the sites that were visible. We have traveled on HOHO tours in various countries and this trip was our least favorite.

There was no stops map easily available - The map I did find was very out of date, the stop shown was a building site! We saw the bus stop a kilometre away from us, and we spent 2 hours of our limited time in Dresden trying to get on any bus. So unless you get and pay on board and get a map it's useless. In addition Uber is banned in Dresden, even to order a taxi. Get Your Guide refused to refund for a service we couldn't use.

Superfluous - In the lower part of the bus you unfortunately see nothing of the sights. Explanations came over tape - terse and with long breaks, moreover in the back of the bus barely understandable. Audio guide available, but could not be tested due to lack of headphones (so bring your own if necessary). Diesel smell on the bus caused me to feel sick. Conclusion: Waste of time and money at least if you don't get a seat in the upper deck. With a day ticket for public transport you are better and cheaper on the road. Travel time was on a Thursday around noon.
