Great tour for the cost and great guide provided! - It was a really worthwhile tour! There are 3 different places on this tour. All uniquely different from the other. The day began at 8a at our meeting spot and ended near Myeongdong around 7:30p. We started at a beautiful botanical garden, the Morning Calm Gardens. It was Huge, well manicured and peaceful. After this, we boarded the bus for a trip to Nami island where we boarded a ferry to get onto the island. If you want pay a few wan more, take the zip line. It zips over the water and is a “soft” landing according to a couple who took it from our group. Nami island is a family oriented park and lots of locals bring their dogs too. It is wheelchair accessible as well. Lots of red, places to picnic and vending stalls to eat at. We spent just under 3 hours there walking around. Our last stop was at the Rail Park. This wasn’t our favorite activity mostly because it was 4:30p when we arrived and the activity was over an hour and then a long 1.5 hours back to Seoul drop off. I didn’t know how long the day would be and that is the only drawback to this excursion was there was little information on the duration of the day. Maybe i missed it, but I’m posting it in my review for those whose want to know how long the day was for us.

Amazing tour, thank you! - Everything was just perfect and unforgettable. All 3 places visited were worthy our time in Seoul. Don't hesitate to book with Viator.

Best day in Korea - My second to last day in Korea was spent on a full day private tour with my English speaking guide Billy. Private or small group tours are the only way to go, most are very good but it all depends on the tour guide. Billy was by far the best tour guide I’ve ever had, when you’re with someone who’s having as much fun as you are you can’t go wrong. We started off on Nami island which was perfect, it was an overcast day which was welcome due to the previous 7 days of blistering heat. Nami island has plenty of shade due to vast number of trees. It was low season so very chill, people taking selfies everywhere. From there we went to the rail bike ride which was oh so cool, 8k wish we could have peddled to Seoul. We were a good team and laughed most of the way. Somewhere in there we had a delicious local lunch :) next we went to a spectacular garden after that where we chilled for an hour or so, could have stayed and relaxed for hours. Unfortunately we had to head back to Seoul …. Billy kept apologizing because we were running late 🤷 I wish the day didn’t end. If you get a chance to tour with Billy ….his love for his country and enthusiasm for his guests to have a good time is contagious. Miss you Billy 😢

A full day of gardens & views of the island - Our tour was a packed day of exploring starting at 8am til 7pm on a Thursday. Garden of Morning Calm was a nice walk as the first stop, took about 1.5hrs. We then stopped for lunch at a restaurant serving Dak-galbi as recommended by our tour guide - was delicious! Next stop was to Nami Island. My son and I chose the zipline to get across while most of the tour went by ferry. We were able to pay for this separately then be reimbursed from the tour for the ferry ticket. We were lucky & didn't wait too long. Spent a good 2+ hrs on Nami Island. This was long enough for us. Last activity was the Rail Park and we enjoyed this, though wasn't expecting to switch to a train half way. Overall, a great day out and our guide, Shin, looked after us well. Thanks Shin!

More fun than expected - After 2 brilliant, but busy tours, we enjoyed this more leisurely experience. Our guide, Max did a great job of conversing with the group in both English and Chinese. The Garden of Morning Calm was beautiful, Nami island was as relaxing or as exhilarating as you wanted it to be, depending on if you choose to participate in the extra activities available there and the Rail bike was an exciting finale I wasn't expecting 👏 Kudos to the driver who navigated the busy Seoul streets and rural roads so well.

Keep calm and explore Seoul - Well planned itinerary. Loved the beautiful garden of morning calm. It is a perfect place for family photography. Nami Island would have been pretty if Autumn has kicked in. The rail bike was a little tiring for us the adults but my boys found it easy. It was an enchanting ride encompassing amazing scenery of the river. The guide was bubbly and friendly We had only one negative feedback. The restaurant that she recommended us to eat for halal lunch was serving pork in their menu . We left that restaurant and went to another one that was few mins walking distance from this. The restaurant Tongnamujip is proper and authentic halal . Other than that , we enjoyed our trip.

Very long tour, with fun parts - All in all it was a nice trip with lots of free time and not much guidance. However, the amount of time available on Nami Island was far too long (3 hours). There’s just nothing to do there. We were done within 1,5 hours… this let to the overall tour being pretty long, we left at 8 am and only returned around 7.30 pm. The garden of morning calm is pretty and very calm indeed but again, 1,5 hours was a tad long for roaming around (we went during a holiday so there was only one café open which did not look very inviting). Guide Jason was friendly and organised, no overly long speeches or explanations which we liked. Rail bike part was fun, book the private option in advance (not possible for sure during the tour).

Mediocre day out - Tino was our guide, he was fantastic, lots of information and very fun! The tour wasn't anything special, the garden of calm is very pretty and lovely to see. Nami island was quite boring, nothing to do, and the railbike was way too busy to really enjoy. But again the tour guide (Tino) was amazing

Locations were good to amazing, tour company ok-ish, tour guide struggled big time - We had our tour with K Tour Story. I really wanted this to be a 5 star review but I just can’t do it if I’m being honest and helpful for others. If you do find anything of use or help in the review, please give it a thumbs up so others see it faster with less searching. Overall, I’d recommend the tour so long as you know what you are getting and are happy with that. The tour company and the tour guide themselves weren’t great, unfortunately. Luckily the other guests were amazing and together we saved the tour. Details of each location, the tour company and guide are further below. 3 stars for Tour group - I had to reschedule and I was allowed to do so, which was much appreciated. The original guide asked me to contact the office but then the office didn’t answer. When things are up in the air and there’s a time factor in play, communication is key. The tour group and improve here. They ask you to join a chat platform, but there’s no app for it. That means you need to navigate to it each time you leave and no way to set up notifications for new messages. Also we didn’t have cellular data for this part of the trip so we had no access on the tour. The pick up point was chaos and the driver was late. There is no restroom on the tour bus (pretty sure that standard, just pointing it out.) 1.5 stars for Tour guide Ruby - she was nice, was clearly trying, and no one was left behind, but that’s about all she had going for her. She was difficult to understand, rambled on about nonsense and then missed the key points. Everyone on the tour was lost and confused at each location and asking each other what to do and where to go. It was so pitiful that we all were trying to help her. She didn’t know how long the tours were, kept giving incorrect information then changing it, but not stressing the change or even saying it clearly, so half the people didn’t understand. We wasted a lot of time at each spot waiting for her to figure things out. It was rough to say the least. The bright side to that is that all of the group members ended up getting to know each other, watched out for each other and had good communication so we could figure out what was happening and make sure no one was left behind. 3 stars for the lunch - the location was pretty much forced upon us. It wasn’t included in the price of the tour and it was expensive for what we got. 44,000 won for 2 servings of stir fry chicken (lots of cabbage and not a lot of chicken) 2 servings of fried rice and 3 drinks. They heard you in and out.. it’s Korean BBQ so you have to cook it yourselves, which is ok if you know what to do. However when it’s groups of tourists.. odds are many won’t have a clue. It’s difficult to have a bunch of people not knowing what to do being lead by restaurant employees that don’t speak their languages. There has to be a kick back given. The food was.. ok. 5 stars - Island of Morning Calm - my favorite place in all of Korea!!! We only had 90 minutes there and I wish it was longer (and then the tour guide hadn’t wasted 15 -20 min figuring things out). Truly a spectacular sight and not to be missed! 4 stars - Nami Island - this is bigger than the garden, with a lot of beautiful areas, but also several that miss the mark. Again, to see the whole thing would have needed a bit more time, but I don’t feel cheated. I would have liked a more informative session by the guide on how to prioritize. There is a way to zip line there that my son would have loved but there was no information on how he could do that without us.. ie where we could meet him. 4 stars for Rail Bike - I was quite excited for this and it fell a bit short. The seats don’t go back far enough so my knees were always jammed up when we needed to peddle. Some of the scenery was nice, but some was literal garbage as well. You don’t have to peddle the entire time which made it nice. Total time on rial bucket was 30 min. Then there a few tunnels with themes that my son thought were great. They had cold drinks and snacks for sale when you are done with the bikes and wait for the train. The 20 min train ride to the pick up point was nice. They dropped us off at a totally different part of Myongdong, but it wasn’t that difficult to get back to the area we needed to go.
