Thumbs up for this tour. - An excellent and affordable trip to experience the Great Wall as a solo traveller. Our guide, May, was great from start to finish, informative and helpful at every stage of the trip, and gave us various options to cater for all levels of fitness when walking the wall. The lunch was lovely. I would definitely recommend Wang tours for communication, care and efficiency.

Amazing trip! - I would like to say that this trip along with our guide Li and the driver Wang was amazing. Li was very nice and pleasant to be with. Her English was really good and she had lots of information to share. Once we got started she shared her culture with us through stories about Beijing and the Great Wall and by sharing her favorite candies with us along with their names and what they were made of. She also bought us a case of water to share on the trip. Once we got to our destination we had a very delicious dinner. Then we went to the wall. We had options of going off on our own or staying close by for more information. It is amazing to think about how they were able to build such a wall in this location during their time. I highly recommend this trip!

Solo Traveler experience going to the great wall! - Solo traveler in Beijing for the first time, and you can’t leave the city without making a trip to the great wall. Booked this trip as description said it was a small group tour and would skip gift shops (which takes away precious time to see more of the wall). The day before the tour, the tour company reached out via whatsapp to confirm meeting location/directions and asked for passport information to buy tickets for us. Our meetup time was at 10am by the Oriental Ginza mall. It went really smoothly and the guide stayed in touch with us over whatsapp with updates. I was expecting a minibus with 10 something people in it, but to my surprise it was only me and two other tourists. So the tour felt more private. Our guide Li was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to get to know each of us personally. She also brought some local candies, fruits and water for us. On the way to the wall we learned the history of Beijing, the great wall and chinese culture. We got to the wall just before 12 and had lunch at the designated restaurant. The food itself is what you’d expect of a tourist restaurant. It was nothing fancy but tasted good. We had leftovers even after filling ourselves up. To get up on the wall there are two ways (well 3, if you consider walking up the steps, but the tour will have to leave you behind as everyone is doing the other two methods lol): 1. Cable car up and down, which is pretty safe 2. Chairlift up and slide down (the most fun). Both options cost the same, but I highly recommend the latter one. My friends back home are jealous that I got to slide down the great wall lol. Neither of the options are included in the trip and costs 140$ round per person. The ticket counter only accepts cash, but our guide Li offered us the option to do Ali Pay with her and she will pay the cash directly. Highly recommend bringing cash in case Ali pay isn’t working well/different guide doesn’t provide the option. Once up the wall it was pretty straightforward. We walked up and down a section of the wall. I was traveling solo, so Li helped me get nice pictures in the popular locations. She also was giving us bits of knowledge and history throughout our walk. There isn’t much to do when you’re on the wall. Just walk the steps, enjoy the view, pet some cats (there are a lot!) and take pictures for memories. After completing our walk in a steady pace, we took the slide down and got to our car to head back to Beijing. We got back to the city around 4pm, and Li helped us figure out how to take the Metro. Overall I had a great time, and will definitely do it again when I’m back (I heard in spring and autumn that section of the wall looks more beautiful) and recommend to friends visiting.

Wonderful guide who really went the extra mile, and amazing value for money - Words can't express how amazing this trip was for us. It has been on my mother's bucket list for many years and when she suddenly fell ill and was in hospital the day before, the company owner was very kind and helpful in his messages, offering to rearrange to another day. Thankfully she made a good recovery and we were able to make it the next day, and our guide May was just wonderful. Extremely warm and welcoming she gave us some history of the Wall on the drive there, and stayed with our family the whole time to make sure we were OK. She was wonderful with our young daughter, playing with her and genuinely enjoying her company, and May took the chair lift down with my mother to ensure she was OK. The trip was excellent value for money and I can't recommend it highly enough. Be sure to ask for May when you book as she was just wonderful. Knowledgeable, kind, thoughtful and great company. I could have listened to her all day!

A wonderful visit to the Great wall - This tour was an amazing visit to the Great Wall. The transport was comfortable. Ms. Li, the tour leader, introduced the history of Beijing and the Great Wall. The lunch was very delicious. We tried multiple dishes, all good. The timing was one of the other advantages of this tour. We had enough time to explore. While the busy weekend caused some delays, Ms. Li rearranged the timing so that we could have a relaxed visit without any rushing. I also highly recommend using Toboggan on the way back from the mountain. It was really fun.

Comfortable and family friendly tour of thx Great wall. - This is a well organised and amazing experience to the Great Wall with a comfortable minibus ride, varied selection of food at the foothill of the ascent and most important a knowledgeable and patient guide who'll gently lead you to the very top of this section of the wall, while catering for varying walking abilities. Highly recommended tour and guide.
