Mutianyu is a section of the Great Wall located in HuaiRou County 75km northeast of down town Beijing. It takes about 1.5 hour riding from the down town Beijing to this section. doing this Great wall day tour is very relaxed day tour, especially for family holiday . It will be a enjoyable day trip .
This is a one of the most famous and ideal sections of the Great Wall. You could choose chairlift up to Tower 6 . Then spend around 2-4 hours on the great wall. And choose toboggan down from Tower 6 . Or cable car up to Tower 14 and cable car down from Tower 14. If you scare about the height , it will better choose cable car up and down . If not ,chairlift up and toboggan down,will have lots fine.

- Credit card usage is limited in the Great Wall Scenic Area. If you do not have Alipay or WeChat, it is advisable to carry some cash.
- The Mutianyu Great Wall offers both western and eastern routes. A cable car is recommended for the western route, while a toboggan is suggested for the eastern route. The fee for the cable car or toboggan is 140 RMB per person and is not included in the tour price. You will need to purchase this separately if you wish to ride.

I appreciated the tour... - I appreciated the tour guide. She gave us the information we needed without being too verbose. She got us through the hawkers at the bottom really quickly. Plenty of toilet stops. My young family members climbed all of it. I could still enjoy as much climbing as I could handle. This was an excellent tour. The food was great.

Fantastic day at great price - To really enjoy the visit you should be reasonably fit as there is a lot of unavoidable walking. Fantastic experience in low season as not many people.
Great guide Cristina gave good info before arrival and was contactable throughout.
Also great value for money.

1st time to China - This was an amazing experience. The tour was great, the tour guide Kevin was knowledgeable and friendly. All day event but worth it!!! Get the lunch included option it is worth it as well.

Great steps/wall of china - A really fun day.
Our guide Kevin was super helpful and entertaining throughout the day.
The 2 sections of the wall you go to are more then enough for tourist and a great 3 hour window. Plus the chair lift is super scary but scenic.

Great Wall great visit - Very good service, perfectly in line with the program and the presentation of activities. Our guide Kevin was extremely nice, knowledgeble, and spoke excellent English and provided explanation on the Great Wall, as well as on contemporary China. He was also spot on with visit practicalities (tickets, r food, etc) and in keeping the group of 46 together while teaching the site. He provided all the indications to visit the Great Wall and the attractions in the area on our own. The bus was of good standards with reliable driver. Well recommended.

Highly recommended - The excursion was great and fun, I hired the service of this agency through Booking and the truth is that it was great, the group with whom I had to spend the day was great, good vibes, good energy, good communication and with the guide Kevin it has been fantastic, very close, fun and attentive to everyone, I have to praise the guides because they are the ones who are in direct contact with the client and even more so if you book online and they are the ones who put the meat on the grill so that everything be perfect and in this case Kevin has done a great job, THANK YOU Kevin.
You have to keep in mind that the price you contract is only transportation and lunch, you have to count on 280CNY for the cable cars which you have to take because there is no other way to get to the top although you have the option of choosing only one and Do not buy both, they give you 2 and a half hours on one side and 1 and a half hours on the other, taking into account the queues in high season they are quite slow, it must be deducted from the time of the walk, this must be made clear at the beginning that it is not a problem.
Drinks are not included in lunch, which is another expense to take into account, in total the excursion would cost you about €70.
