- Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - At 08:00, the guide and driver will meet the group at their hotel in the Beijing city area. The tour begins with a stroll through Tiananmen Square, the heart and emblem of Beijing, and the largest city square globally. This expansive square has hosted numerous public celebrations, ceremonies, and demonstrations for over a century.
- Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Next, the group will visit the Forbidden City (closed every Monday), one of the largest and most well-preserved wooden palace complexes. It served as the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368-1912), housing 24 emperors from these dynasties.
- The Great Wall at Badaling - After lunch, the tour will proceed with a 45-minute drive to the Badaling Great Wall, the most renowned and best-preserved section of the Chinese Ming Dynasty Great Wall. The steep mountain slopes and winding roads made it a crucial military stronghold in ancient times. The wall resembles a mighty dragon weaving through the mountain ranges. For those who find hiking challenging, a cable car is available as an option.
- Beijing - On the return journey to the city area, there will be a stop at the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube for an exterior visit and photo opportunities.
After the tour, the group will be escorted back to their hotel in the Beijing city area at approximately 5:00 pm.

Great service, fun trip! - We had a great time on this tour. Our guide, VIK, was at our hotel promptly at 8 AM and was friendly. He led us to a van waiting out front with a driver, which was nice as VIK could then talk to us about the sights and didn’t have to deal with parking.
Forbidden City was very interesting, as was Tienemen Square, and VIK did a great job of both explaining the sights and also letting us move at our desired pace (I’m not a fan of tours that make you suffer through a deliberately throttled pace.)
The jade factory was interesting but the products were pricey and the salespeople obnoxiously pushy. Not our favorite part of the trip but at least the lunch there was good.
The Wall was fantastic. Absolutely breathtaking and VIK was very helpful in getting us in and mapping out a route. We ended up switching to the Mutianyu section and are glad we did. We seemingly had the Wall to ourselves! VIK and the travel company were very accommodating of the change and up front about the slight increase in costs.
All in all a wonderful day. I appreciated the service!
