A different kind of review - I cannot rate the tour as I never took it, but I would like to rate my experience with the company. My tour was cancelled because I was the only one booked for that day, the company was very prompt in letting me know about this two days before the tour date. They offered to change my date to another day which I declined due to time constraints. They had extremely open lines of communication and processed my refund promptly.
So even though I never took this tour i was very impressed with their customer service. Will definitely book this tour again the next time I'm in Beijing.

Good Food - Really fun. Lots of food. We went to 4 places all very different. The walking wasn’t bad as each restaurant was close to each other relatively. You’re going to get full. Thank you Cameron for a great time.

How to make the guest feel good. - Of the several times I went to The Park restaurant last week, on one occasion the hostess told me something, which I, distracted, did not catch. One of my companions told me the little woman had asked me a question. I went back in my footsteps and, apologizing for my deafness (I am a senior citizen), asked him what he had told me.
She mentioned that she had asked me the number of my room. I told her and, very kindly, she thanked me. I apologized again for the mistake made, but the kind lady smiled at me and told me everything was fine.
Perhaps the girl, according to her training parameters, sinned with grief and courtesy. But the truth is, it made me feel good about the non-insistence. I'm so sorry I didn't take the kind girl's name... but there's no way.
What I was thinking is, if it were to happen to someone an experience like the one I just told you, and you guys require the room number, that the hostess catch up with the guest and say something like this:
Excuse me, sir, we're glad to be able to serve you in this restaurant, and it would be very helpful if you could provide us with your room number; it's for control and statistical purposes.
Hopefully my recommendation will reach the right place and person.

Do it - Grizo was a wonderful guide. We stopped at 4 different locations to dine in & were a small group of 4.
Would defintely recommend to do the tour.

The history of Beijing’s alleys and its typical food shops - Very outstanding tour. I wouldn't have gone to the Hutongs if it wasn't for this tour. The excellent, varied and sufficient food options!

Hutong + Food! - Day and hour changed and we arrived. But there was a mistake with our reservation and we could not make the tour. We spoke to those in charge who apologized, scheduled for the next day and gave us a partial refund. OK!
The next day we made the tour and it was a delight: several small restaurants that we would never find on our own; tour of one of the hottest places in Beijing, the hutongs; perfect food.
All this guided by the sweetest Winnie, fun and full of stories to tell.

Lovely Food Tour - Cozy and fun food experience through the Beijing Hutongs. Our guide Grizo brought us to lovely places and did a great job explaining us the stories behind the food and telling us interesting facts about the Hutongs.
Would definitely recommend! A nice plus is that you meet other lovely people on the tour.
