- Sanlihe Park - Located on the east side of Qianmen Xianyukou Hutong, Sanlihe Park begins after Qianmen East Street and extends south along Beiluyuan and Nanluyuan Hutong. The river is home to numerous koi and pairs of mandarin ducks, and a section filled with reeds adds a touch of wild beauty.
- Qianmen Walking Street - A 15-minute ride from Sanlihe takes you to the Qianmen and Dashilan area. Qianmen Street is one of Beijing’s renowned commercial streets, featuring many long-established shops. At Neiliansheng, visitors enter a traditionally decorated space showcasing various styles of cloth shoes. Observing the masters as they craft shoes, from selecting materials to attaching soles, highlights the artisans’ dedication. Visitors can try on shoes and choose a pair as a keepsake. In Dashilan, explore other traditional shops like Ruifuxiang Silk Store and Zhang Yiyuan Tea House to experience the allure of traditional commercial culture.
- Bell and Drum Towers - The Beijing Drum Tower, originally built in 1272 and later reconstructed in 1420 and 1539, along with the Bell Tower, rebuilt in 1745, served as timekeeping centers during the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties. The Drum Tower, standing 46.7 meters tall, is painted a striking red, featuring a double-eave wooden design and 25 large drums. The grey brick and stone Bell Tower complements it, both being integral to Beijing’s central axis.
- Shichahai Scenic Resort - Located in Beijing’s Xicheng District, Shichahai was historically known by names such as Bailiantan, Jishuitan, and Haizi before adopting its current name in the Ming Dynasty. It was a major dock for the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal during the Yuan Dynasty and marked the endpoint of water transportation. The northern and eastern shores of Houhai Lake are lively urban centers within the city.
