my favorite excursion in Punta Cana - We went for a walk to Saona Island. We arrived at Bayahibe, then boarded a catamaran to go to Saona Island. Arriving at the site, we had a wonderful time with family and friends. . open bar, food, natural pool and a tune to dance to on the catamaran.

Saona Island Day Trip - We had a great time on the cruise to Saona Island. While we did have our young boys with us it's probably a trip more suited for adults than kids, although our kids did have a lot of fun. The staff was super friendly and was always making sure you were enjoying yourself. If your main focus is snorkeling you probably want to look at other cruises, but if your main focus is having a good time with music, boats, and rum then I would highly recommend.

A must see! - We had a wonderful time on this day tour! Make sure you book with a company that will take you to the Blue Lagoon, it was magikal. AND wear lots of sunscreen and bring water, it's a full day in the sun.

Must visit! - Pablo was an excellent host and the trip may be the best excursion we have taken in the Caribbean. Expect it to last all day and plan accordingly.

Disappointed - Very long boat ride. The crew was the only highlight of the excursion, there knowledge and experience was the only reason I didn’t rate this terrible. The beach on the island was huge but only one area that was safe due to large rocks and shells. The smell and horseflies were unbearable and the food was ok at best. Save your money.

Long trip not what expected - We booked this trip thinking it was a long day, but filled with a lot of activities. We took a tender boat about 300 yards out from shore then we boarded a catamaran which I thought would take us to the snorkeling. To my surprise, we were at the snorkeling area. Very few fish and the bottom of the area had pipes, wire and other garbage in it. Very disappointing to say the least. We took the catamaran and it included a light lunch. A piece of cheese between 2 slices of dry bread. I know it’s difficult to keep food in this environment, but I’m in the food industry and this was awful. Stopped at the “natural pool” as it’s called, but it was just an area of the ocean where the sand came up high enough we could stand in it. The photographers asked me to pick up a starfish and it was dead! Once we arrived at Saona Island, it was very nice. Lots of vendors pestering you immediately trying to sell you local jewellery or coconut oil. Went onto the catamaran again and went to another area to have a lobster dinner. Food safety is not important in this part of the world. Just a warning! Once we were finished dinner, back onto the catamaran and to a river boat to cruise the Chavon river for an hour. Finally arrived back at our hotel 12 and a half hours after being picked up. What we thought would be a long day turned into an extremely long day. I would not recommend this trip to anyone. Too much money and totally not what we were expecting.

Disappointed - The tour itself was okay at least the portion we did do. I took this tour mainly for the snorkeling. Took a boat to the island which took forever. When we got to the island I asked the tour guide about snorkeling and he had no idea what we were talking about. Completed the tour and my group and I were shocked, no snorkeling. I called Viator/trip advisor to try and get at least a partial refund and after weeks of them waiting for the supplier to get back to them I was finally able to get a partial refund, but ONLY out of Viator/Trip Advisor’s doing, not the supplier. Still a bit irritated that the supplier was trying to argue with Viator/Trip Advisor saying snorkeling was offered to us, but we refused it. Don’t you think if it was offered to us I would’ve done it considering it is in the tour description and that’s what I was looking forward to? So buyer beware with this one! Will not book with these people again.

So disappointing!! - They failed to pick us up even though we had confirmed our booking by phone the day B4, so they then PROMISED to pick us up the next morning and did not!!! So we were forced to book with another operator at short notice (as we really wanted to see the Saoma island) b4 we left) and spend significantly more than we planned. Trying to contact them by phone and e-mail to get a refund has been a nightmare, so now trying via TripAdvisor - VERY UNHAPPY :( :(

Not good! - Waited for our shuttle for 3 hours and they never showed up, major disappointment! We booked two other tours through trip advisor and had no issues but this was a wasted day!
