From this point, embark on a self-guided tour at your own pace, independent of other travelers. This delightful paddling journey spans 15 km, allowing you to reach neighboring Germany in approximately 3 hours. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park from the water, as you navigate through Europe’s deepest sandstone canyon. The bike handover point is situated on the right riverbank in the charming village of Schmilka, right at the ferry station. Here, you can explore a local microbrewery or café with spectacular views.
Upon reaching the handover point at the ferry on the right bank, the boat will be collected, and bikes will be provided. Cross to the left bank of the Elbe Cycle Route by ferry. Remember to have €2 in cash per person (including the bike)! If you wish to visit the nearby spa town of Bad Schandau, the cycle path on the right bank is also available. Please ensure bikes are returned by 6 pm at the Kemp Děčín reception. A late return fee of 300 CZK applies.
