During this tour, participants will explore hidden, non-touristy spots, engage with welcoming locals, and receive photography guidance from a professional photographer. Additionally, they will learn intriguing historical facts about Saigon’s downtown and its architecture.

The journey begins with a cup of morning coffee or tea, where the host will provide photography tips, advice on approaching people, and details to focus on to enhance the photography experience.

Throughout the walk, several locations will be visited, including French colonial and war-era apartment buildings, a local hardware market, and a stunning Buddhist temple. Participants will observe how Vietnamese families navigate their daily lives within a complex network of alleyways and have the chance to meet some of these captivating individuals.

This experience is ideal for both aspiring and professional photographers of any skill level. Whether the goal is to refine skills, learn photography basics, or simply explore some fascinating Saigon locations, this experience is perfect!

This experience was developed in collaboration with the esteemed photographer Frederik Wissink and is hosted by either him or Kevin Lee.

Originally hailing from Canada, Fred has made Vietnam his home for the past 17 years. He has worked on commercial projects for prestigious hotels such as Accor, Hyatt, and Four Seasons, as well as major corporations like Google and Samsung.

Fred has completed assignments for The New York Times, The Guardian, USA Today, and the Discovery Channel. His work has graced the covers of Conde Nast Traveller and Car & Driver magazines. Fred also spent several years as an instructor for the Hoi An Photo Tour and occasionally co-hosts multi-day tours throughout Vietnam.

With over ten years of experience, Kevin specializes in photography for commercial clients and often takes on the role of producer.

Kevin is passionate about capturing stunning landscapes and candid moments, drawing from his extensive experience in both photography and executive production. In the past, Kevin has organized street photography meetups and walks in Singapore.
