- St. Dionysius of Olympus - The Monastery of Agios Dionysios in Olympus is a Greek Orthodox monastery located on the slopes of Mount Olympus, and it is the most significant monastery in the Pieria Prefecture. Positioned at the Enipeas ravine at an altitude of 850 meters, the original monastery was founded in 1542 and was destroyed by the Germans in 1943.

Our experience was amazing and our knowledge through our walks in the archaeological sites of Olympus was enriched with great joy! Exploring Mount Olympus & Ancient Dion with IGOHellas - Our trip to Mount Olympus and Ancient Dion with IGOHellas was absolutely unforgettable. The tour was perfectly organized, combining breathtaking nature with deep historical insight.
Mount Olympus was majestic – hiking through its lush trails and taking in the views felt like stepping into mythology. Our guide Stella was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating stories about the gods and the mountain’s significance in Greek culture.
Ancient Dion was another highlight. Walking through the archaeological park among ancient temples, mosaics, and ruins gave us a real sense of Greece’s incredible history. The museum there was also well-curated and added even more depth to the experience.
Everything from transport to timing was smooth and professional. If you’re looking for a mix of adventure, history, and local expertise, I highly recommend this tour with IGOHellas.

Excellent trip to Dion & Mt Olympus, recommend! - Great excursion- highly recommend. Worth it to have a more personalized journey. Dion and Mt Olympus was very investing. Enjoyed Zeus' bath. And a delicious local lunch.Our guide Angelo was very informative and a joy to spend day with.

Amazing Experience - It was an amazing experience. I visited Dion and Olympus two days ago with some friends. We booked the trip last minute because we thought a private trip was a good idea in order to avoid the hustle and bustle of the roads. It turned out to be an excellent idea because we enjoyed our trip without getting worried about anything and also our tour assistant, Stella helped us to make the most of our trip. She was very helpful and answered all our questions. We highly recommend it

Enjoyable trip - Janis was a great guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to accommodate all our requests. It was great to get to the locations ahead of the busses from the bigger tours.

This was a great way to... - This was a great way to experience Mount Olympus and see the Dion archeological site. The walk to the waterfall was beautiful and enhanced the experience. Lunch at a traditional Greek restaurant and the food was delicious!
Our driver was extremely nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Thank you!

Great Day on Mount Olympus - I was traveling with my 88 year old mother. Having a private guide and driver was great as he adapted to her walking ability. Because it was tailored to us, my mom could do more and take her time. We made the walk to the waterfall on Mt Olympus and she was really happy she could still do a walk like that with our assistance. The drive and attractions were all great. I do wish we got more of the stories as we were on Mount Olympus after all. A little more mythology would have been nice, but it was a fun and informative day nonetheless.

Horrible Experience - Our destinations (Olympus and Dion) were changed without prior notification. We weren’t advised until we had already loaded in to the van and were on the road. There was a definite language barrier. Although our guide was nice, it was difficult to understand her. We went to a museum and the tombs of Philip. We had to pay an additional entrance fee to go in but our guide was unable to accompany us because she was not a licensed tour guide. We had no one to explain our experience to us. An alternate destination (a church) was unavailable to tour because it was closed. Very unhappy with how this excursion turned out. We weren’t advised until after leaving the port. We were really looking forward to Olympus and Dion since we would only be there once. We should have been notified either the night before or the morning of that things would be changed. Not cool
