Highlights
  • Dingli Cliffs - The main attraction of the Dingli Cliffs are the cliffs themselves, however there is also a tiny chapel perched on the very edge, dedicated to St Mary Madgalene. Dingli Cliffs is the highest point of the Maltese Islands. The stunning Dingli Cliffs overlook the blue Mediterranean Sea and stunning views of Filfa. The cliffs extend all the way from Bahrija to the Munqar area where you will find another natural wonder, the Blue Grotto. Close by between Dingli and Rabat you can also find Malta’s largest woodland called Buskett. - Mdina - Mdina is a fortified medieval town enclosed in bastions, located on a large hill in the centre of Malta. The town was the old capital of Malta, and with its narrow streets, few inhabitants and beatuful views over the Island it is truly a magical town. Mdina is referred to as the “Silent City” by Maltese and visitors alike - no cars (except those of a limited number of residents) have permission to enter Mdina and the town provides a relaxing atmosphere among the visitors walking its narrow streets and alleyways. Mdina has a small population of around 250 people who live at 0.9km2, within the city walls. In contrast, outside the city walls, the village of Rabat is just a step away, and has a population of over 11,000 people. The medieval town of Mdina presents a mix of Norman and Baroque architecture and is the home to many palaces, most of which today serve as private homes. The large and striking Cathedral of the Conversion of St. Paul stands in the main square of the town. Mdina was first inhabited and fortified around 700 BC by the Phoenicians and was at that time called Maleth. Mdina benefits from its good location on the island’s highest point, far away from the sea. Under the Roman Empire the Roman governor built his palace in Mdina and it is said that even St. Paul stayed there after he was shipwrecked in Malta. - Meridiana Wine Estate - Meridiana Wine Estate produces some of the best Maltese wines. All the wines are produced using only Maltese grown grapes, most of which in the vineyards of our estate in Ta Qali, Malta’s agricultural heartland. Meridiana Wine Estate produces only approx 140,000 bottles of wine per year and is considered to be a boutique winery producing high quality wines - our mission statement is to produce World Class Wines of Maltese Character. Some of our most renowned wines include the Isis (Chardonnay), Astarte (Vermentino), Melqart (Cabernet Sauv/Merlot), Nexus (Merlot), Bel (Syrah), Celsius (Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve). We have recently launched a First Limited Release of our new dessert wine, Baltis (Moscato Passito). The first vintage has yielded only 405 bottles. We also produce a mid level range called Fenici. It is made up of a White (Vermentino/Viognier/Chardonnay), a Red (Syrah/Merlot) and a Rose (Cabernet Sauv/Syrah). Most of our production sell in Malta & Gozo. - Ta’ Qali Crafts Village - The crafts village in Ta’ Qali is located in the former RAF wartime air-field and is a very popular tourist attraction in Malta. Here, different kinds of crafts and beautiful artefacts are sold created by local experts. You can watch the craftsmen blowing and forming glass, visit the goldsmiths filigree and beautiful jewellery and have a look at the beautiful sculptures and lace.

High quality wine tasting, beautiful island. - The winery was beautiful, with very nice wines. Our driver was very nice, but seemed new at tours, felt very safe. Had five good pours of five different wines, all delicious. Very charcuterie plate. Cute lazy cats. Would recommend, and purchased some of the wines.

Duncan was the best! - Duncan was the sweetest tour guide we've ever had. We loved his company, his wisdom and his pure Maltese insight. He showed us the secrets and the absolute beauty of so much of Malta that we never would have even thought to have looked up ourselves. We were on our honeymoon and it was so wonderful to hear that he recently got engaged as well. Best of luck to both of them!

Highly recommended - excellent vlaue! - Excellent area - a little away from the centre but easy access to buses (5 min walk) and 20 mins later you are at the Trevi Fountain. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms while smallish are very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee-making facilities. Altogether excellent value! Highly recommended!!

A fun day in Mdina - As I was the only person on the tour, I’m glad it wasn’t cancelled. Duncan was a great tour guide. He was informative, punctual, accessible, knowledgeable, and friendly. I had a fantastic time!

A relaxing, pleasurable outing - Very nice wines and food platter served in a relaxing setting overlooking the vineyard by friendly people. Kenneth was a really nice driver/coordinator, and we appreciated seeing Mdina just before the big tour bus crowds descended.

Great wine and Malta experience. - We have been on many wine tours in France, Spain, Argentina and the Napa Valley. This was an exceptionally good tour! Our driver was great and took us down many back roads to see the real Malta. The charcutiere board at the wine tasting was the best we have ever had. The wines were surprisingly good, but do not expect high end Bordeaux quality. At the end of the tour our driver and guide gave my wife, roses, chococolates and a bottle of champgyne. Take this tour when in Malta, you will not regret it!

More of a driving tour with some wine at the end - Our tour guide was very nice and did show use some lovely parts of Malta but I do feel we have been on better (and cheaper) wine tour experiences. This is definitely more of a tour of Malta with a winery visit added on at the end. Highlights were the visit to Mdina the silent city and our tour guide bought us some wonderful pastizzis.

Below expectations - My wife and I are vegan and despite repeated promises (before booking the tour and again on the morning of the tour) regarding our food requirements they failed. On top on that the conduct of the vine tasting itself was just giving you four glasses of wine (one at a time) accompanied with a plastic sheet with information about each wine. Making the experience lacking all charm. The three stars belong to the friendly driver and his spotless car.
