Very poor experience due to driver conduct and lack of support - We boarded the bus as planned and the journey initially went smoothly. At the Armenian border, my wife needed to obtain a visa on arrival, which took around 10 minutes longer than passengers who did not require one. During this time, the driver became visibly angry, repeatedly stating that he would leave without us and that he was in a hurry. There was nothing we could do to speed this up, and it was not within our control. Despite this urgency, once we made it back to the bus (running), the driver then sat idle for a further 15 minutes while speaking on his phone. The stress caused at the border was therefore completely unnecessary. Our ticket was for Dilijan. As first-time visitors to Armenia, unable to read road signs and without mobile data, we assumed the driver would stop at the correct location, especially as our ticket QR codes had already been scanned. Instead, the bus passed our stop without any warning. When I showed the driver our ticket to ask about the drop-off point, he told us we had passed it “some time ago” and showed no concern whatsoever. When I explained that we had no signal, no cash, and a hotel booked right by our intended stop, the driver offered no solution. We had to rely on another passenger to call the company on our behalf. The response from head office was equally dismissive. We were told we should have alerted the driver — despite being tourists who had never been to the country before and could not read the language. The only solution offered was a free return journey at 1am, which would have involved being dropped in the wrong city, waiting around five hours overnight, and then travelling a further two hours — entirely impractical and unreasonable. As a result, we arrived at 8pm in an unfamiliar city with no accommodation, no cash, no data, and no refund for our original hotel. We had to arrange alternative lodging at significant personal expense. At no point did anyone apologise or show any understanding of the situation. I have never experienced a transport service where it was apparently the passenger’s responsibility — particularly a foreign tourist’s — to navigate stops without assistance. This experience was extremely stressful and poorly handled throughout. I would not recommend this company.
