Namo Buddha is situated 25 miles (40 kilometers) from the lively city of Kathmandu. This full-day guided tour takes participants to the Buddhist pilgrimage site perched on the hilltop of Panauti in the Kavre District. The highlight of the tour at Namo Buddha is the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, where young monks receive their education. The hike to Namo Buddha is straightforward and perfect for those who enjoy walking for a few hours.

The tour starts with a 1.5-hour drive to Dhapasi, passing through the village of Panauti. Participants will then embark on an easy hike through several small villages and paddy fields, observing local villagers engaged in their daily activities of cultivating the fields. The hike includes a 1-hour uphill trek to reach the magnificent stupa of Namo Buddha. After lunch (at your own expense), the hike returns to the starting point before heading back to Kathmandu.
