- The Covered Bridge - The tour begins with a pickup from your centrally located hotel or accommodation in Sofia. After a drive of about 2 hours, we will arrive in Lovech. Here, we will start exploring the city’s historic quarter. We will stroll through the quaint cobblestone streets, stepping back in time to admire the typical 19th-century houses….
- The Covered Bridge - The tour begins with a pickup from your centrally located hotel or accommodation in Sofia. After a drive of about 2 hours, we will arrive in Lovech. Here, we will start exploring the city’s historic quarter. We will stroll through the quaint cobblestone streets, stepping back in time to admire the typical 19th-century houses. Special attention will be given to the renowned Covered Bridge, a masterpiece of Bulgarian architecture crafted by Master Kolio Ficheto.
- Hisarya Fortress - We will visit the Vassil Levski Museum and continue our journey to The Hisarya Fortress, constructed during the First Bulgarian Empire (681-1018 CE). The fortress is one of Lovech’s most popular attractions.
- Varosha - We will take a walk in the Varosha Quarter, a reserve located in the town’s old section, featuring over 160 restored houses that create an authentic atmosphere reminiscent of the 19th century. Here, we will enjoy lunch at a traditional Bulgarian restaurant serving local cuisine.
- Devetashka Cave - Our journey continues to Devetashka Cave, a 20-minute drive away. We will have time to explore this stunning karst cave, which has sheltered humans since the late Paleolithic era, according to archaeological research. The cave is a protected landmark of both national and international importance and is recognized as a cultural monument.
- Krushunskiye Waterfalls - Our next destination is Krushuna Waterfalls, a 20-minute drive from Devetashka Cave. This unique natural wonder offers a breathtaking walk through a beautiful forest and along a stream that forms a stunning cascade of blue waterfalls.

Great day out! - I was lucky enough to take this tour with just 1 other person and Anna was the most amazing guide! She looked after all our needs and took things at our pace and was super friendly! The sights are beautiful and would highly recommend a trip!

We went on this trip on... - We went on this trip on Sep 15 with Ivo. He picked us up on time. His car was spacious and clean and he even offered us some water, as it was supposed to be a very hot day.
He was a very safe and calm driver and very good guide. Maybe a little softspoken, but very knowledgeable.
The Devetaki Cave was absolutely fascinating, the Krushuna Falls were beautiful, we enjoyed our time in Lovech and had a really great time overall.
After our trip on the day before was rather an ordeal, we were so lucky to have Ivo as our guide this time around and were extremely impressed with how beautiful and diverse Bulgarias landscape and history is.

Top Trip. Worth the time and money. - My guide. Theodore. Couldn't have found a better guide. His knowledge and insights are just awesome. Highlight for me was the waterfalls and caves. Absolutely stunning. Covered Bridge cos of plentiful shops. Only comment is awareness of the 2hr journey to get there. Plenty of stops for biobreaks n snacks. All in all ...superb.

I found what I was looking for. - Very comfortable, very punctual. The guide was always very friendly and very prepared. The transfer vehicle very new and clean. I find it a very interesting activity to know other things about Bulgaria.

Both the waterfalls and... - Both the waterfalls and the cave are great locations to visit. Our guide, Theodor was great! He was kind, spoke English fluently. Many thanks! The vehicle was also very good. The tour is easy to complete, altough the heat in July is pretty high in Bulgaria.

beautiful waterfalls and caves - We were amazed by the beautiful view yet to put on sturdy shoes, enjoy the beautiful view, possibly take a thin jacket and enough water, really far you never have to walk at a time what was really pleasant in bright sunshine, the toilets at the sights are not the worst I have ever seen but are expandable. Our guide “Maria” was a treasure!

Worth the drive - Nice tour with 5 guests in total. Ivan the guide was very knowledgeable and informative. The drive is some what long and the highway was closed some of the way but that is Bulgaria, said the guide.

Mostly good - A great tour and guide, with some stunning scenery. There was however much confusion over the pickup from our apartment. I thought that we were going to be picked up.and was not notified to the contrary. After having received no information the day before, I made contact to find out that we were expected to make our own way to the meeting place. As we had only jusy arrived in Sofia, this was a very stressful situation. It was resolved, and we were eventually picked up because there were only 3 people in the tour, but it cast a shadow ovet the trip unfortunately.
But the actual tour and guide were good... just the organisation that was not so good.
