As well as spectacular scenery there are dozens of Byzantine churches, chapels, monasteries and hermit caves dating from the 11th to 13th centuries, as this area was the settlement for early Christians. Our guide will take you to one of these to explain the beautiful religious frescoes visible on the interior walls.

Great - 1st used by the Hetites 3300 years ago, then the Christians. An underground city. Can accommodate around 500 people. Christians to hide from the Romans. Made from volcanic Ash. Rolling stones as doors, closed from the inside to prevent the Romans from entering.
