Great experience, plenty of food - We had a great time with Ras, he told us all about Bali and showed us great restaurants and food we might have been too afraid to try on our own

Authentic Bali - Hubby and myself recently did this tour and we were so glad we did! Our tour was with a small group of 6, all international visitors who were ready to experience a more authentic taste of Bali and did we ever! All the tastings (and there were a lot so go hungry!) were delicious, some more than others and it was great that we kept moving from place to place (warung to warung) to assist our digestion. Our small group crossing busy roads with the wave of a hand to stop traffic, was definitely a skill from our local guide (sorry can't remember his name). Finishing at the Badung markets and watching locals sell / buy their produce was a great way to end. A huge thanks to our guide for his help in arranging transport back to our hotel.

10/10 Experience 😊 - Ina was our guide. She was very knowledgeable in terms of the food and the history in regard to the ingredients and origins of the dishes. She also share a lot about Bali & Indonesia in general, which I enjoyed cause I got to learn more about the culture. We tried different food from about 6 places, all unique with a different vibe which I enjoyed. I felt it gave a proper Bali food experience. The portions of the food were more than I expected & I was pretty full by the 5th tasting. But I fortunately kept room for dessert, which was a perfect ending to the flavourful experience. Thanks Ina for a great 1st food tour experience 😁

Great food with excellent local guide - This tour was an absolute highlight of our trip. Our local guide Inna was great at explaining the culture surrounding everything we ate, and also happy to answer any other questions about Bali and their culture as we walked between places. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh and unique. We went to some quite hidden places which felt really special. We finished with a night market which was so interesting to see. I loved getting to try so many different foods, hearing their story, learning from a local and being in a small friendly group. This tour is excellent value for money and a great way to experience the food culture of Bali.

Solid introduction to Bali and Local Cuisine - Solid food tour! Tried lots of dishes. Engaging and eclectic tour guide. Also saw a cool evening market. Felt after we’d like it was a solid introduction to the island.

Fantastic food tour. - A great introduction to Indonesian food, culture and history. Perfect for those who want to try food beyond the standard tourist dishes. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and was able to explain many things to us, even things not involving food. Would do it again!

A great experience for food lovers! - I was visiting Sanur for a few days and was looking for things to do and came across the Chef’s Tour in Denpasar City. It ended up being just me and the guide Raysid but the experience was amazing nonetheless. In fact, it meant Raysid and I could take our time and chat at length about all kinds of things. He’s a lovely, friendly guy with a big heart and I learned a great deal about not only Indonesian/Balinese food but also its history. The tour visited tiny, hidden local places, some only serving one things such as the deep friend banana fritters. Tasty!! It’s very unlikely I would have visited or event found some of these places on my own, so it was great to explore and try new food which I could then find during the rest of my time in Bali. Everything I ate was super tasty, with the small exception of the tripe broth. The broth itself was delicious but tripe is definitely an acquired taste! Finishing at Badung Market was an experience in itself. Never been to a market so big and bustling! Safe to say I was totally stuffed by the end of the tour and I loved every minute of it. Highly recommended if you’re in Sanur/Denpasar and are open to trying new food. Thank you Raysid!! 🙏🏻

SO MUCH FOOD! Turn up hungry and be prepared to eat lots of food! Great guide/host and lots of great little eateries! - Don't eat or snack before this tour! Lots of food to try on this tour and there are a number of meals that we'd consider a full meal. A number of sate dishes provided, so may be a little restricted if you have a peanut allergy. First stop you receive a lovely refreshing rosella drink, and we were offered 2 bottles of water during the tour, but my fav stop included 3 dishes: a broth with a chicken meatball and dim sim, noodles with sprouts & a dash of homemade siracha style sauce, and finish with a dim sum with peanut satay - delish. Lots to see & hear and our guide explained the dishes and was happy to provide any info we asked about Bali. We walked through the markets and tried the Godzilla sate sticks (was so tasty and another favourite of the tour, however was feeling very full by this stage) and finished up with a small pancake with your choice of topping - yum. The guide then gave us all a little goodie bag of desserts to take home, and luckily he was able to help us with grabbing a taxi back to the hotel. Only suggestion would be for some of the meals to be a little bit smaller, and at least 2 places to provide a bathroom break (we used one at the market - take hand sanitiser as none provided). Overall was a great food tour and enjoyed meeting the other guests and trying lots of Indonesian style foods.
