Saula and the crew were very helpful and showed their exellent hospitality throughout the journey. There were plenty of tasty food and beverages. We valued the cultural welcome ceremony as well. Moreover special thank to Saula for the wonderful guided snorkeling tour around pristine Schooner island .

Amazing Day out, loved it! - By chance when catch up with friends for dinner we found out theyd booked Whale's Tail for the Monday as had we - it was a friends birthday and our first wedding anniversary. What day we had! Bubbles was served on departure and just kept flowing! we were canvassed for special events, i.e. birthdays, anniversaries etc. We sailed through the Blue lagoons and beaches of the nearby Mamanuca Islands to our own uninhabited island! After lunch groups went out snorkeling - you had to wade out - through coral - really needed reef shoes as hard to do it flippers, my only whinge! Personally my eyes reacted to the salty water and stung so much that I just couldn't do - very disappointing. On the way back our friend, us and another couple who had a wedding anniversary, were sung too and presented with cakes which became afternoon tea. An all round fabulous day, will remember it always.

Must do - Amazing experience. All the beer, water, softdrinks you can drink, singing, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling. The boat crew were awesome, shout out to Captain Enoch. They found out it was our anniversary and we got a cake and lavalava and then were serenaded on board. Played volleyball on the beach, ate good food and relaxed for a few hours on the island. It all came together for one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely do it.

Perfect way to spend a day a day in Fiji! - Amazing trip, highly recommended! We had an unforgettable time on the most amazing little island that one could ever imagine spending the day on. Special thanks to Olly and Max and all the crew for making it a trip we will never forget! Loved the special snorkelling trip and getting up and personal with the schools of beautiful fish. The island lunch was amazing and the perfect way to start the afternoon. The trip back to Denarau was just as good, if not better, with plenty of love (and beverages) to see us back to port. We will definitely be back soon. Vinaka vaka levu to a special crew on board The Whale’s Tale.

The highlight of our trip...we did it twice!!!!! - The most amazing time with the most amazing people. The whole crew look after you with a big smile and laugh and ensure you are never empty handed (namely for us drinks, but of course everything you need). 😂 The island is a dream, the cutest most beautiful thing you have seen. Be sure to do everything available to enhance the experience. First day I left with tears in my eyes, we had to do it again 2 days later. Big hugs to all the crew namely Mike, Max and special special vinaka to our beautiful girl Olly. Sota tale friends, you will being seeing us again soon xxx

Fun excursion with a great crew! - We took from Port Denerau for about a one-hour boat ride on the Whale’s Tale out to Schooner Island. From the boat, we had great views of the Viti Levu (Fiji’s main island) coastline. On Schooner Island, we enjoyed the soft sandy beach. The crew took many of us snorkeling while a few took the glass bottom boat out to the coral reefs. Street lunch, there was a friendly game of volleyball before heading back to the port. The crew, led by Saula, were the highlight of this trip. They embody the friendliness and kindness that Fijians are known for. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the boat was comfortable and taken care of.

Great day out sailing to a private island for snorkelling - Very well organised, super friendly crew who take care of you, and play guitars and sing to entertain you. Champagne breakfast provided on arrival. Boat sailed out 1.5 hours to a small private island. Kava ceremony, followed by guided snorkelling on the island reef, equipment provided free. Tasty lunch served on the island, then glass bottomed boat tour around , hand feeding the fish. Volleyball, then sailed back to port by 5pm. Free flowing complimentary beer, wine, juice throughout the trip. Highly recommended.

Pleasant day out, but better tours out there - Pros: Staff was friendly Bar open during transfer to island Boat was spacious. Passengers have more room to spread out versus captain cook cruise. Coral viewing was very good Lunch was simple, but tasty Cons: The is island was disappointing. There are sand bags as you enter the island and it is not good to walk barefoot as there is lots of coral and rocks. Our biggest issue was there were no loungers to enjoy the beach…Just some picnic tables. The glass bottom boat has 2 small windows as opposed to extending the length of the boat. Crew walked around with a tip jar sticking It in front of each passenger which was awkward. I’d rather leave a tip as I’m leaving as opposed to being guilted into it. Island does not have a pier to exit so you exit into a smaller boat and our ferried over in groups. This cuts your island time by 30-45 minutes as you sit around waiting. We took the captain cook cruise to Tivua island earlier in the week and found it a superior experience in most aspects for the same price point.
