A highlight of our time in Delhi - A really insightful and immersive experience. Our small group guide Santan was highly knowledgeable and was welcomed by the locals as he had grown up nearby and had spent his life in the area. His friendship and acceptance gave us the impression that we were being welcomed by the community rather then being tourists we were also lucky that our fellow tour group members were from all over the world and were all great! A glimpse into the history and real life of the slums. Thank you Santan!

This was the This was the... - This was the This was the greatest tour I've taken. Felt real safe and cared for by all the people in the community. I seriously would do this tour again. Im truly impressed by all viator tours now. The tour guide santan is extremely nice..he cares for everybody in that community. Thank you santan for showing us all that did that tour that day a great memorable day. The kids of the community made it awesome. Each kid had their own personality. The community people made us all feel welcome. Especially when we had masal tea and a donut. Another great scene was the workers working on the tortilla things..simply amazing amazing

A fascinating tour at eye level in an underground neighborhood with an interesting and charming guide - There's no way to get to such a place alone, and there's not a lot of guides familiarizing the neighborhood like the guide, Santan.

An incredible experience that everyone should have once! - The slum walking tour was really a great experience and one that should not be missed when you have the opportunity. Santan is noticeably well integrated into the community, and the residents immediately warmly welcomed us as well. We have always felt safe and well cared for with Santan, he explains the history of the slum and life in it sensitively and with the utmost respect. If you are in Delhi, you should definitely explore the slum to get to know its inhabitants better, remove prejudices and see your own life in a new light.

Slams tour is recommended - India has many sides, beautiful and more beautiful.
On the tour you will discover the beauty and power in the more complex parts of Delhi.

An unforgettable and eye-opening experience - Santan is an incredible guide — warm, insightful and deeply respectful of the community. The tour felt very pure and authentic, not touristy at all. It gives you space to reflect on what truly matters, what you value in life, and how you can contribute to change in your own way.
One small thing I personally regretted was not bringing sweets for the children — they are so curious, open and joyful. It would have been a simple gesture that I think they would have appreciated.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a meaningful experience rather than just sightseeing. Santan makes it special.

It's a great experience, but a little unsatisfactory - It was a very good experience.
We meet at the station and head to a place about 10 minutes away by Rikisha.
From there, you will be introduced to the slums and walk down the main street of the slum.
We had tea, visited places making roti and ate chicken biryani.
I spend about an hour in the slums.
After that, we walked to pick up Rikisha, returned to the station and disbanded, a total of less than two hours.
Your guide will pay all the costs.
It was a good experience to visit places that I couldn't visit alone, but I wanted to spend a little more time looking at the different places in the slums, and the time was shorter than I was told, so I made it a star 4.
Optionally, I was invited to take an afternoon tour of Old Terry. I turned it down because it was 3,000 rupees.
