Our expert guides will provide you with insights and the historical context of the underwater military ships that were targeted and sunk by Japanese aircraft in 1942 during the Second World War. Additionally, the ocean floor of Port Darwin is home to numerous fishing boats, laid to rest by the tumultuous seas brought on by Cyclone Tracey in 1974.

So much fun and did not matter that we were first timers!! Our guide John was great, great knowledge and skills. - This was so much fun, never ridden a JetSki before but that did not matter at all. Our instructor John was fantastic, have a clear concise instructions and his knowledge of the area and what we were looking. Was a real hoot, I thought before hand that an hour wasn’t very long but if you’re having a crack and have to grip with your thighs then it’s plenty long enough, feel like I’ve been for a 3hr horse ride today bit so worth it!!

As a beginner I felt perfectly comfortable - It was my first ever experience on a jet ski. Helena explained everything to make me feel completely comfortable. She checked throughout the experience if everyone was OK. From start to end, the whole experience was well organised. Photos and videos of the experience are sent on, so there is no worries about missing out if you don't have your phone handy. If I had more time in Darwin I would definitely book again.

Fun!! - Andrea was a brilliant host for our Thunderball WWII Adventure Tour. We were setup on a very stable and easy to operate Jetski. My Fiance was on the back of the Jetski, a little apprehensive but with some reassuring instruction from Andrea she started enjoying the experience as we headed out into the harbour for some very informative exchange of information about the conflict that occurred leading to the ship sinking. We moved on to a bit of freestyle skiing around Cullen Bay.
We ended up with some excellent video and photographs of our experience with some cool poses and a free drink at the bar afterwards.

Thrilling, fun and adventurous - First time jetskiing, and the tour guide made sure that it was totally fine that I was a beginner and showed patience when teaching the ropes. Helena was a great tour guide and made the whole activity a fun and thrilling ride, would highly recommend for beginners in the area.

Chill instructor, beautiful route - Had an absolute blast, was my first time on a ski and I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience. Got sent flying at one point, was so much fun. The instructor was super chill.

A very worth while experience - The experience was amazing and so much fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would enjoy the thrill of Jet skiing. The staff were very nice and the guide, Andrea, was awesome.

Great experience with the family - As a family with teenage boys this tour was perfect. Helena the tour guide was very clear and helpful about expectations and use of the jet skis whilst maintaining a high level of fun. It was quiet choppy on the day but she changed plans accordingly to make sure we all had the best experience we could, taking several breaks to make sure everyone was happy and having a good time. Lots of local knowledge and the pictures took and shared were a fantastic souvenir of the trip. Highly recommend.

Great time! - Great time and our guide was awesome! I must note that you don’t actually see a shipwreck on the Thunderball Shipwreck tour sadly, which we were really looking forward to. But besides that we did see a cool sand bar and had an epic time! Highly recommend.
