Wonderful Experience - I wish we had done this trip earlier because it has been totally overwhelming and splendid beyond what we had imagined it to be. Mikumi and Selous are really beautiful, pristine and away from the crowds. We got to experience the wildlife and sceneries in their natural state without much interference from man. Otto is a seasoned guide who is great company and knowledgeable about the parks. He often knew where we would find the wildlife and being the rainy season the animals have migrated further from the rivers and water points. A boat ride along River Rufiji was awesome! We loved the accommodations, especially Rufiji River Lodge was special! Kudos to Ramadhan and Otto for the wonderful time

A Beautiful and Memorable Vacation - This trip to Tanzania has been an adventure of epic proportions and we have created wonderful memories that will last for a very long time. I will start with the outstanding quality of service from the moment we land in Julius Nyerere Airport in Dar. Our pcikup was timely and we were whisked to our hotel to rejuvenate after the long flight with 2 lay overs. Our guide Otto is a special one! So experienced as a safari guide and a wonderful person to be around. We instantly took to his warm personality and so knowledgeable on a diverse range of topic from wildlife, nature, history, culture, politics and life in general. He is a great driver who comfortably maneuvered the 4x4 Landcruiser through the roads and the parks. He went over and beyond to ensure that we were safe, comfortable and enjoying the trip. Wildlife encounters with Otto were much more than seeing them, he took his time to teach us about their habits, lifespan and so much about them. Otto's knowledge of the parks made the game drives interesting and fun as we could not run out nice things see. We appreciate the excellent lodges which made the experience awesome. We were particularly wowed by the Rufiji River Camp in Selous for its postcard beauty and top class service. We would definitely get used to this royalty treat

Our unforgettable safari in Tanzania with Otto - My family and friends have just returned home from an excellet trip to Selous and Mikumi National Park. We recommend booking a trip with Gecko Adventure Tanzania 100% and if you are lucky to be partnered with guide Otto, you are bound to enjoy the ride. Otto was amazing, very knowledgeable and passionate about Tanzania and conservation of the ecosystems. The surreal sunset at theend of our boat ride on river Rufiji with hippos in the water, elephants and giraffes on the shores. Game drives were action filled, Otto focused on finding all the animals that were on a wishlist. He also spotted lots of birdlife and being avid birdying enthuthiasts it was so thrilling. Overall the experience was 100% perfect and we loved it.

Amazing Magical Experience - We had a remarkable safari experience thanks to our guide Otto and Rama who put it all together. Photos do not do justice to the experience. We had some amazing encounters with wildlife on the game drives and boat rides. We saw numerous different animals including elephants, hippos, lions, wild dogs, zebras, giraffes, cape buffalos, wildebeest, baboons and so much more. The trip was a flawless as everything flowed like clockwork. Rama had done all the work with lodge bookings, permits and activities. We really enjoyed the hot air balloon ride over the huge park. The boat safari was also special. Mikumi was amazing too. There is a wide variety of animals in the park. We've been to Tanzania before but this one was special. The parks are so well preserved and the number of visitors were fewer in comparison to those in the northern circuit. We enjoyed the beautiful trip to Tanzania immensely, thanks to the team from Gecko Adventure Tanzania. We will definitely be returning to Tanzania for another trip.

Unforgettable Holiday in Selous - We booked a five day trip to Selous and Mikumi for our 10th anniversary with Gecko Tanzania Adventures. Rama created a bespoke private safari just as we wanted. We stayed at luxurious accommodation spots including Rufiji River Camp on the banks of Rufiji River Camp which was spectacular. Selous is a true rare gem. Hardly encountered any other visitors on the game drives, fishing and boat safari. Every place was stunning and the animals were in plenty. I believe that our guide Musa enhanced our safari in a big way. A very good driver and knowledgeable about the park. A novice would easily lose their way in the vast park. We got to experience the raw Africa with an expert guide while staying in a premier lodge. I will never forget the experience.

Great Holiday In Selous and Mikumi - We have to commend Gecko Adventure Tanzania for an amazing trip to Selous and Mikumi. We had an incredible guide Musa with us who is not only an amazing driver who managed to get the 4x4 Landcruiser safely through all the tough spots. It rained sometimes. The boat ride along Rufiji river was phenomenal. There was plenty to see and we were spoiled for choice between the numerous birds, that Musa knew and the bountiful animals. Sleeping at Rufiji River Camp was a great experience of fine dining and comfortable lodging. Mikumi was amazing too, a great park with many animals. I highly recommend Gecko Adventure Tanzania for excellent services

Huge thanks to Endrick, Rama and the Chef! - Me and my wife travelled with Gecko for a 5-day safari, which happened to also be our first safari ever. It was definitely an amazing experience! Our guide Endrick was super knowledgeable, professional and just a really great guy to simply hang out with throughout the trip! Rama, the manager, was incredibly easy to communicate with and seems to really treat his team of guides well. The chef who accompanied us for our one night fly camping experience fried up some really delicious meals and even stayed up all night to keep us safe from hyenas, lions and other critters, which he honestly deserves a medal for :D The experiences chosen throughout the Safari were a perfect mix of relaxing and exciting. I would 100% recommend Gecko to any first-time safari goer and will definitely come back to them for future trips around Tanzania.

Great Safari Adventure in Selous and Ruaha - I travelled with my husband to Tanzania for an amazing adventure that took us to Selous and Ruaha. We had one of the most memorable adventures we have ever had in these hidden gems off the beaten path. I can still see the beautiful scenes of elephants feeding on Rufiji Riverbed as we explored on a boat - a must do activity in Selous. After Selous we flew to Ruaha by small aircraft to another great adventure. The number of animals along Ruaha River are numerous and it was really great. The giant baobabs make an incredible sight. I recommend Gecko Adventure Tanzania with 100% confidence that they are the best.

Beautiful Tanzania - On short notice we decided to visit Tanzania. We had a very pleasant Journey. It was all arranged by Gecko adventures. Their safari guide is a realy cool guy who showed us the beautiful wildlife. But also the rest of the people we met were kind and helpfull, always willing tot answer questions of the curious wazungu acompanying them.

5 unforgettable days - I went on a 5 days safari with my best friend. We saw 2 amazing parks Selous and Mikumi. Our first contact with Rama from the office of Gecko was very helpful and he took care of organizing us a fantastic safari. Our ride to the parks and between them wouldn't have been the same without our amazing guide, Gasto, who were professionnal, caring, attentive to make sure we were having our best time every day and we did ! We saw the reality of tanzanian life, diverses landscapes, amazing nature, during the many hours we spent driving between the 2 parks : a safari itself !
