James Taylor, a British citizen, introduced commercial tea plantations in Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

Ella > Yala
Rawana Falls - Travel to Yala, stopping at Rawana Waterfall along the way. This waterfall, approximately 25 meters (82 feet) high, cascades from an oval-shaped concave rock outcrop. During the local wet season, the waterfall resembles an areca flower with withering petals, but in the dry season, the water flow diminishes significantly. The falls are part of the Ravana Ella Wildlife Sanctuary and are located 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) from the Ella railway station.
