Must visit when in Northern Iceland - I suggest this to anyone who likes beer ! The hot tub before the beer tub has a view on Fjords, a really awesome one. And then the beer bath was one of a kind experience - just relax in a bath - have a tap with cold beer right next to you. I really suggest :)

Great spa experience, especially for couples! - The beer spa was wonderful. If you come 30min in advance of your booking, you can relax in an outdoor hottub after taking a shower with beer soap and shampoo. Once the time has come, the receptionist will call you and direct you to your room where you can enjoy both the unlimited draft beer from private tabs and the 30min beer bath (which you are recommended to take naked). Then, people are directed to a resting lounge to lay down and be wrapped in a warm blanket (would recommend only using the robe provided by the spa and stay naked too). ! It is recommended to NOT shower for the following 6h to let the beer sink in the skin and hair. Best advice to follow in my opinion

Fun spa experience - What a fun experience. Outside in the hot tub first ~ snow all around but warm in the water admiring the views. Then into our bath a warm beer bath with beer on tap. If you know how to pour; lots of lovely cool local beer with just the right amount of head on the beer. Used the beer scrub and hair balsam ~ 30 minutes passed so quickly. Then upstairs to the relaxation room to dry off and relax on the warmed beds. Washed the beer off next morning ~ skin and hair felt fab. I had meant to get my son some beer products but was outside admiring the view before we left. Receptionist was not mega friendly but rest of the staff made up for that. We hired bathrobes ~ which as we did. It get the blankets in the relaxation room was good. Very different and lots of fun ~ would deffo do again

Soak in beer and make sure to eat the horse afterwards! - You start off in a lovely hot tub outside. It is only a few cold steps and then nice warm water with a beautiful mountain background. Then you go inside and sit in a wooden beer barrel hot tub filled with unfermented beer. They make sure to tell you its beer that is not fully processed and to not drink it. You know they have to tell you this warning because of Americans. There is a tap right next to the hot tub filled with the final version of beer that you are relaxing in. The tap is part of the experience. After that we ate in their restaurant where I had the Icelandic Horse. It tastes delicious! It is better than beef but tastes similar. It was nice to get some real meat like this, as I feel like your only options in Iceland are lamb, cod, and arctic char. None of my family had the heart to eat horse but they were missing out because it was amazing and I still think about how good it was. My fiancé ordered a beer flight consisting of 8 beers with 6-8 oz pours!

Lovely spa but a pricey and not so good dinner experience. - So me and my girlfriend went here for the beer spa which was very nice and we would both recommend it. However the dinner we had there was not too nice. For a starter we got the porkbelly to share. It was 5 or 6 thin slices of porkbelly glazed with a nice beer sauce and served with rucola. The portion was very small to say the least for a price of 2600 isk After that i got the chef's steak (5690 isk). It was horse filet which tasted good and was properly cooked to the doneness i asked for. My girlfriend got the fish of the day which was halibut with garlic sauce (4990 isk). The halibut came very much undercooked with a pink center. We notified the waiter and he took it back to the kitchen (he did not tell us what he would do, he just agreed that it was undercooked). We got the same fish again that we had already cut into but this time it was well cooked. After that we got beer icecream which was pretty good. At the start i also ordered a beer and the waiter forgot which one i ordered, asked again (no problem with that) but the he did not bring it until he had taken and brought drink orders for two other tables. The staff gave us the beer for free and 20% off the fish. We could tell they wanted to provide a nice experience which we really appreciated. But when charging such a high price for menu items, you would expect a better quality/quantity of food and service.

A fun experience if a little overpriced - I did this with my 11yo son and we both enjoyed it. He was free which helped, as for an adult the cost is pretty steep even by Iceland standards. It’s best to get there early and make the most of the outdoor hot tubs, and be aware that any drinks - other than the self serve in the spa bath itself - have to be paid for. The relaxation room is nothing special and the building as a whole is really too small for the numbers. Still, it’s a fun experience if you’re in the area.

Just not worth the money - Just way overpriced for what you get. Ok, so it’s fun to soak in a tub of beer but for that amount of money? Because that’s just about it. I like Kaldi beer but not the blonde variety that came out of the tap. No choice was offered. The quiet room was a joke. The attendant covered my legs with a sheet - no foot massage as was mentioned in the description. Then one couple talked the entire time - not particularly conducive to meditation. The attendants were perfunctory - just doing their job - did nothing to make the experience special.

Not good. - The beerbath it self was okay, got cold very soon, the beer pump next to the bath was not good, always comes foam not beer. Afterwards we had to pay more for one more beer and soda. Would expect that they would at least one beer/soda after everything in the relaxing zone, you are paying 10 thousend icelandic kronur for this experience and this is what we get. The only good thing in my opinion was the relaxing zone outside and the sauna. Not recommending 👎👎

Overrated - Too expensive and overpriced. Very little included. Bath was not warm enough and the beer dispenser didn’t work correctly.
