From the outset—exploring the market—we adopt a unique method. Rather than just purchasing ingredients, we emphasize understanding seasonal produce and fruits. Participants will also have the opportunity to taste foods and drinks at the morning market that may be unfamiliar to most travelers but are integral to the daily life of Taiwanese people. Our course is crafted to feel like a visit to a Taiwanese home, where you learn home-style cooking with your host, Wayne.
With almost 30 years of culinary expertise, Wayne learned traditional Taiwanese home cooking from his mother and later honed his skills in Sicilian home-style Italian cuisine from an Italian grandmother while residing in Melbourne, Australia. Participants are encouraged to engage in in-depth discussions with Wayne about food and cultural differences.
