Afternoon mountain views followed by night market boat ride - Great afternoon. Visited a marble workshop before ascending the mountain. Seen many very old sculptures and places of worship. The stairs can be quite steep so I would be wary if older and worried about balance. The views were great and worth the climb. Some of the caverns were amazing. We then went to Hoi An old district and visited the night market followed by a boat ride. It was quite amazing seeing how the old structures were built and still stand so strong today. Our tour guide was Mr Khoung. He was very knowledgeable and had plenty of "dad" jokes though out the tour. Definitely recommend this tour

Great way to see the best of Hoi An - I was supposed to take the tour with my husband, but he was sick so I ended up going solo. I was greeted by my guide, Ms Van (the photo queen), at my hotel for pickup and the driver took us to Da Nang to see the beautiful Marble Mountain. Van’s English is very good and she shared lots of interesting history and legends along the ride and once we got there. I learned a lot about the different Buddha’s and how to correctly ask for your wishes. We then toured Hoi A markets, a few historic places and museums, and then the boats. Hard to say what my favourite part was, but the boats at night with all the lanterns is a beautiful scene!

Gray tour with a great guide! - A well planned out private tour with Ms. Sue as our guide. We were picked up from hotel by guide and driver and began our adventure to Marble Mountains, Hoi Anh Market and the boat ride. We were very happy with Ms. Sue as our guide. She provided us with a lot of history of Hoi Anh and Marble Mountain.

Enjoyed the marble mountain and hoian trip - Mr Minh showed us Marble mountain and explained the history quite well. The Hoi An city, boat ride and market is surely a place to visit. Lousy raining weather so carry a rain coat and good grip shoes for marble mountain and hoi an. Rest was all good

Sharavathy riverfront homestay and boat ride-Amazing views - Sharavathy Homestay at Honnavar is located about half hour drive from Honnavar town. You have to take a sharp left turn before a school when google map directions end and drive 500 meters in a mud road. Have to walk about 200 meters from the parking to the entrance of the homestay. The homestay has 2 rooms (cottages) and 2 treehouses facing the Sharavathy river. Bigger of the 2 rooms can accommodate 5 people and the other one 2. The rooms are small and there is scope for upgradation. The owner Sri Ganesh Hegde is very friendly and will guide you thru the activities. The main highlight of the stay was a 2 hour sunrise boat ride we had with Ganesh taking us thru the picturesque landscape. We even went to see the longest railway bridge over the river Sharavathy. The package also includes a canoe ride and a short trek. The breakfasts and dinners were tasty with local flavour- homemade with love by Mrs Ashwini Hegde. Overall a pleasant, memorable and satisfying stay amongst nature with a lovely family.

Beautiful sights with a great guide! - We had a fantastic time with Ms Chang, our tour guide. The tour was very accommodating: we had a luxury vehicle for our ride with bottled waters, as well as, door to door service. Ms. Chang was super knowledgeable and really let us go at our own pace. I would highly recommend this tour.

Varied But Very Insightful Tour -- Requires Good Fitness Level - I didn't know what to really expect on this tour, and for that reason I want to share some of the details that I experienced during the tour. We went by car towards the mountain, first stopping off at a marble manufacturing plant. This place had some fabulous pieces ranging in price from $2,000 - $5,000 fully shipped and insured, so come prepared if interested. There were also some less expensive figures and jewelry that one could purchase. We left the plant and went to the actual mountain site. This was a a great experience in seeing and experiences centuries of development and worship of Budha and the Hinduism faith. There was an elevator up to approximately 3 stories, and then you have to walk steps to gain further entrance to the mountain...well worth climb, but this proved to be an arduous climb, and I don't recommend it for those with limited mobility. We left the mountain after seeing some magnificient Budhas in different parts of the mountain, and went to Old Town, which is a lovely tourist section with limited access to the numerous motor bikes across Hoi An. We walked, shopped and snacked on the local food. During our walk we saw an example of a meeting center, a Japanese built bridge, as well as the inside of a traditional multi-family house. As a student of architecture, I fully enjoyed this part of the tour. We left out the outdoor market due to time, but did go on the boat ride which was peaceful and beautiful with an array of colors from the lighted lanterns in each of the wooden boats. Very beautiful! The major downside was that our tour guide had a working knowledge of English, but I know we would have learned even more it he had been more talkative, and with a better grasp of some English terms.
