amazing experience! - This tour was fab! We were picked up from our hostel on time and told we were the only ones on the tour that day so it was practically a private tour! Our tour guide (can’t remember his name) was really friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast and lunch at the same place was delicious! big buffet options perfect for the hike. The hike itself wasn’t as difficult as we anticipated, perhaps because we dosed up on altitude sickness medication the night before and in the morning. The trick is to take tiny steps - barely one foot in front of the other - rather than gassing it up as you will struggle to breath. The hike only took 1 1/2 to get to the top and was mostly flat apart from a few short inclines. Rainbow mountain is amazing to witness, we definitely recommend!

It was worth the effort to climb in high altitude. - We are very glad that we had this tour. Rainbows mountain was really tough activity, but it worth the effort. The views was absolutely amazing and beautifully. Quechua people were nice, too. The guide was very friendly knows exactly how to guide us, very knowledgeable.

Rainbow Mountain Marvelous Place - First off, our tour guide and driver were outstanding. The whole tour was magnificent. Now, when I thought I had seen enough beauty and how special Machu Picchu really is, I get to see the Rainbow Mountain. OMG - This should be labeled the 8th Wonder of the World. This is a perfect example of what nature is capable of giving us. Discovered and made available to people in the last 10 years, the Rainbow Mountain has to be the most significant discovery bar none. Note that before that, the mountain was covered in snow and nobody even noticed it. Anyone coming to Cusco MUST see it. One last note: lots of walking up a very steep slope reaching an altitude of 5,200 meters (over 15,000 feet). You must be in excellent shape and drink Muña (or coca) tea, take a pill to help you overcome the ill effects of high altitude, or combination thereof.

Amazing!!!!! - Absolutely amazing tour of an incredible place. Our guide Alfredo taught us so much about this beautiful place and how it came to be. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It's a tough climb up at the last km or so, but you can take horses if you feel the need. If you plan on walking, take your coca candy, energy gel and just breathe. Take breaks as needed. You can do this. You won't be disappointed when you reach the top. It's chilly and windy, so dress appropriately. Bring small currency to tip for pictures with the llamas and alpacas. Breathtaking!!!!

Rainbow Mountain - Literally breathtaking view. No words on how to describe it except to experience. Ruben’s team were ever supportive and encouraging the group to go on and we all did follow his lead. No regrets from me.

Very nice group of host guides! Accommodating and professional - They did a very good job of ensuring that each one of us had our best experience. They were extremely accommodating and professional. Future travelers should be mindful that the altitude may significantly affect them, even while preparing.

Photoshop? - Photoshop at its most extreme......Totally underwhelming mass tourist trap full of Instagram posers. 7 hours on a cramped minibus only to be taken for an idiot
