Excellent for understanding the Incas - Wonderful village nestled on top of a valley, with constructions that allow us to understand how the Incas lived. Farm terraces towards El Valle and cemetery nestled in the rocks of the adjoining mountain. We had Valentine, an excellent Guide who allowed us to enjoy the visit.

Worth visiting - The Pisac Archaeological Park offers a deeply enriching cultural experience, complemented by the stunning natural scenery. It’s fascinating to learn about how the Incas cultivated and stored food, domesticated guinea pigs, and managed their work schedules. Another striking feature is the cliffside tombs visible across the river, where the burial holes carved into the cliffs are truly breathtaking. The surrounding mountains appear almost surreal, making you feel as if you’re the size of an ant, with gorgeous vistas that are a feast for the eyes. I strongly recommend visiting with a guide to fully appreciate the rich history and stories of this site. Don’t forget to wear sunscreen; despite the cloudy weather, we ended up with quite sunburned ears. Pisac is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone interested in the grandeur of nature and the ingenuity of Inca civilization.

Small town - A nice quaint town on the first stop of our tour. There is one street of vendors selling local gifts. This is a place that can be visited in a couple of hours.
