This was just fun! - They have a quick zip line segment I could have done without but the rafting was great. We went in the winter months so the water was cold (wetsuits) but the views were spectacular. There’s a spot where you can jump in. Really a fun experience. I started to wear down due to altitude right at the end so the distance is perfect. Side note: TripAdvisor’s overview says the river runs past Machu Picchu, which is true, but this segment of the river is towards Puno so you can’t see the ruins.

Great experience! The home where you... -
Great experience! The home where you travel to for entering the water is occupied by a sweet family, who take care of you as much as they can. Ziplining across the river was included at no cost too. The rafting was semi-intense, but the guide made sure we weren’t in any danger.

rafting was good, pick up and delivery not so much - They forgot to pick us up at our hotel, we called them and had to take a taxi to them. When we arrived at the bus there was another twosome that had been forgotten as well. The trip to the river was over 2 hours- due to bridge construction- not their issue. once we got there we also did zipline- very small but fun. The rafting was very good- however we went in August 2018 and it was not the rainy season. half way into the rafting we had to pull over and hike over rocks and boulders for about 50 yards- not far you say- try it. had it not been for another rafter I would not have made it. The guides did not walk it with us or tell us a good way around. other than that- which was a big deal, I wasn't the only person struggling to make it. the actual rafting was fun and the views were awesome. The ride home was again quite long but oh well. It states you will be dropped at your hotel- nope! They said they were going to drop everyone at the square because it's centrally located due to traffic-There is always traffic in the evenings. Great we thought, our hotel was on the square. They didn't drop as at the square, they dropped us at the bottom of the long hill, 1.5 miles from the square. Not fun after a long day. I recommend rafting, just not sure this is the group to raft with. We also paid for the rafting pictures they took and still haven't received them.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Despite their good intentions, this supplier is far from prepared to be accountable for their customer's safety. Please choose from the other dozens of companies that provide rafting and zip-lining tours in Cusco...or choose them at your own risk. Tbis is my story: Once at the river, hey offer a quick zip-lining experience to get you "in the mood" and get the adrenaline running before hitting the water Cool idea, yes...but... They have a bag of old, dirty gloves, for customers to use as a brake on the zip-line. From this bag each client, without prior explanation, has to take one to do the activity. All gloves are in deplorable condition and no one from the tour staff takes the trouble to even check that everyone receives a proper glove and in good condition. My girlfriend did not find a glove of her size and because of the hurry in which they made us go, and because of the absolute lack of supervision, she threw herself into the zip-lining, the glove fell down halfway and she had a severe burn in her hands and feet caused by the cable. Despite seeing my girlfriend bleeding and scared, the organizers, far from assisting and offering solutions, when confronted by me, were annoyed giving pathetic excuses, and continued the tour as if nothing had happened. It is not true that they pick you up at the hotel: They send a person and you have to walk up to 8 blocks to get on an old, smelly and overloaded bus with all the other participants of the tour, The "fun social lounge" they mention is nothing more than a ranch with flies. The food is bad. The "extra" drinks they offer are super expensive. In the end, we had fun, but it was not for the organizer, but for the group of tourists who were in the group with whom we laughed and shared fun moments. Traveling friend: If you go to Cusco, do not miss the rafting on the Urubamba River, but do yourself a big favor: DO NOT hire this company. There is another bunch of companies that do the same, and it is likely that some of them can offer better security conditions or at least some level of professionalism ... things that this company absolutely lacks.
