Q’eswachaka Rope Bridge - We will continue by car until the impressive Inca bridge. This hanging Inca bridge is made of vegetable fiber (Ichu) and is located on the Apurímac River in the Quehue district.
• The existence of this bridge dates back to Inca times. The maintenance and renovation is done once a year by local people from the surrounding communities. Before beginning with the renovation of the bridge, an offering is given as a sign of respect and gratitude to Pachamama.
We will have the opportunity to cross the Inca bridge from both sides. But be careful, it seems easy, but it takes courage. - Checacupe - • On the way back to Cusco we will make a last visit to the Inca colonial bridge of Checacupe where you can see the differences between the two bridges. This interesting trip ends in the city of Cusco at approximately 5 pm

The ‘Q´eswachaka’ Inca bridge is constructed using ichu, a type of grass native to the high Andean regions. Each year in June, the local people from the high Andean communities of Ccolla, Qqewe, Huinchiri, and Perccaro replace the grass.
