The company and the tours are really great. - They gave us a great trip! If you go through a pack tour agency, it costs about twice as much, so I found a place I could do it myself and booked it. It was half price. English and Spanish are available. They were very responsive, made no mistakes, emailed us in advance with all the necessary luggage, etc., and also had an orientation the day before at the office after arriving there to answer any detailed questions. It's a really solid company. The trek itself was a really tough climb, as I wanted to retire every 10 minutes, but the guides were so good at mentally controlling it that even a 45-year-old woman with almost no climbing experience could do it. They're there to make sure you're not late, and they're like, "We're at the break point in five minutes! (Actually, it's about 20 minutes away)" and "Look, I'm starting to see where the lunch is! Good job. You've got about an hour left! (Actually, two hours)" and so on… Mixed with truth and falsehood, it cheered my heart out. I couldn't have done it without it, he was very good at controlling it and I was glad I went with him. It's something you can't get anywhere else, along with the excitement and grit of arriving at the Gate of the Sun. Subsequent Vicente Machu Picchu guides were also knowledgeable and forgot about foot pain. Pepe&Nilton,Thank you for the best trip!

Amazing one-day Inca Trail hike into Machu Picchu - We scheduled too late to do the four-day full Inca Trail, but loved the one-day hike alternative. Our guide Juan Jose (Jota) was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We saw some of the best sections of the trail including Wiñay Wayna and entered Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate. TreXperience put together an entire custom itinerary for us for two weeks. With the shorter hike we had time to do a second day in Machu Picchu and climb Wanya Picchu. Overall, a great trip with good arrangements with a small personalized treatment instead of a large group.

Hike the lush Inca trail to see Machu Picchu from the Sun Gate - Our family of 5 joined a small group for this one-day hike along the famous Inca trail leading to Machu Picchu. This hike gives you exclusive access to certain areas of Machu Picchu, in addition to visiting 3 different Inca sites along the way. I must mention our energetic guide Wilian Elvis - of course he passionately explained the history of these sites of his ancestors, as well as countless flowers, fruit, and birds, but more than once he saw someone looking hot or tired, and without a thought threw their backpack over his own for a couple of miles. As for the trip: we took a train from Ollantaytambo to the Inca site Chachabamba, after which we climbed around 1500 feet through the majestic Andes mountains towards Wiñaywayna. This was the most difficult part of the hike, and was quite warm as the sun came out, but overall it was fairly moderate with plenty of places to rest in the shade, and always an amazing view. You can see the Inca site Wiñaywayna as you approach, and you immediately appreciate the fact that it was carved from the side of very steep and inhospitable terrain. This fact was reinforced as we huffed up a few hundred incredibly steep steps just to get from the bottom of Wiñaywayna to the top. From here, the trail leveled out for a few miles of shaded, cool, and incredibly lush jungle, marked with occasional green serpentina stone, followed by a climb to the Sun Gate, from where we could see Machu Picchu. The final part of the hike was all downhill descending into the upper part of Machu Picchu for photos. It's incredibly rewarding to see Machu Picchu for the first time after hiking the Inca trail, even if it's just for one day. We highly recommend it!

I had a wonderful trek with my family. TreXperience is great, thank you very much. Jennifer is a great guide. - I am glad that I chose TreXperience. The communication was really excellent. I decided to do the trek with my family at very short notice and TreXperience made every effort to make it possible. Jennifer, our guide, was so warm and loving that it was a real shame that we didn't do a longer trek with her. She made so much effort that my whole family was happy. Her specialist knowledge of nature, the history of Peru and the Incas is enormous. Nevertheless, she was able to explain it so well and understandably that everyone in my family understood it. Huge compliments to Jennifer. Thank you TreXperience for the great organization and everything that goes with it.

Galivanting with our guide Gary - We are traveling in a group of 7 and was paired with our guide Gary. He met us online a day before to give us details on the day hike. We started the walk at around 8am and ended up at our el mapi hotel ( booked on our own ) by 430pm. Gary helped us with bus and train tickets and gave a clear and encouraging instructions on the steps and how to navigate the terrain. Gary fed us stories and gave great explanations on the history of the Inca empire. It was a very scenic walk with slight rain and misty landscape. The view was worth all the workout involved!

MESMERIZING! GARY IS THE BEST :) - What a perfect way to end our trip to South America and visit the beautiful Peru and hiking to Machu Picchu! Weather was amazing, very doable and the most INCAredible part was Gary which is super passionate, funny and his knowledge is just impressive. Able to accomodate any of our requests by going to the extra mile or answer to every question we had!

Relaxing and satisfying trip - Jota and Rosmel are wonderful guides. Initially I was worried about the high altitude hiking. Both of them are very attentive to a couple of us that walk slowly. The group energy is great and encouraging. Everyone is friendly and patient with us to finish the first day. The itinerary is great that we could enjoy the Machu Picchu scenery with less crowds. Both guides are very knowledgeable and gave grant tour with detailed explanations about history and culture of Inca . Highly recommend the tour

Amazing once in a life time opportunity - The tour was amazing. We really enjoyed the time with our guide Roger Salvador. He knows so much about the nature and the inka culture. I can really recommend this tour with him. He really took his time explaining and showing us plants and animals. The best part which was a really amazing feeling when going through the sun gate and seeing Machu Picchu the first time.
