The Tipón Archaeological Park has 240 hectares and is part of the Qhapac Ñam route (network of Inca roads). - Pikillaqta - Pikillaqta is a pre-Inca city occupied by the Wari culture. Its cities show a high level of engineering since they were built under urban planning patterns.
- San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas - The San Pedro de Andahuaylillas church was built by the Jesuits in the late 16th century. The decoration of its interiors is the most impressive of the enclosure. It has a collection of canvases from the Cusqueña School that represents the life of San Pedro: with gold leaf frames, a majestic organ, silver metalwork and a baroque altar.

Begin your adventure in Tipón, a remarkably preserved archaeological site situated 27 kilometers from Cusco. Close to the village sharing its name, where a magnificent rural colonial mansion from 1650 stands, there are 12 terraces still in cultivation, along with some enclosures and an irrigation system hailed as a masterpiece of hydraulic engineering, still in use by the local community. Next, proceed to Pikillacta, associated with the Wari culture, recognized as one of the best-preserved pre-Inca cities in Peru. Among its 700 structures, spanning over 3,000 hectares, are stone and mud buildings with two and three stories, unique terrace work, and a condor’s head carved into a rock. Conclude your visit in Andahuaylillas, a town 40 kilometers from Cusco, featuring the Church of Andahuaylillas as its main highlight. Often referred to as “The Sistine Chapel of America,” it boasts an impressive collection of art pieces. The church now houses an original pipe organ that has been recently restored.
