Machu Picchu - The adventure begins with a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley, passing by charming towns like Chinchero, Urubamba, and Ollantaytambo. The journey begins at km 82, crossing the Urubamba River and passing Wilka Rakay, offering panoramic views of the ancient Inca site, Patallapta, and the Kusichaca Valley. The descent towards the Kusichaca River is straightforward, and the journey continues to Wayllabamba, where we settle in for the night.

Machu Picchu - The Inca Trail offers an invigorating ascent towards Tres Piedras (The Three Stones) after a satisfying breakfast. The journey continues into the captivating cloud forest, where we reach Llulluchapampa at 3800 m. After a brief break, we continue to the Abra de Warmihuñusca, the crown jewel of the Inca Trail, at 4215 m. The summit is celebrated with a sense of triumph, and the descent leads to the base camp in Pacaymayo.

Machu Picchu - The Pacaymayu Valley offers breathtaking views. From Pacaymayo, we will hike to the second pass, Abra Runkurakay, standing at 3950 m. The trail descends through a mesmerizing cloud forest, surrounded by orchids, moss, ferns, and native flowers. The Inca sites of Conchamarka are also present. After lunch at Chaquicocha, we continue to Phuyupatamarka Pass, passing through an impressive Inca tunnel. The final campsite is Wiñayhuyna, near Machu Picchu.
Wiñay Wayna, Machu Picchu, and Aguas Calientes to Cusco
Machu Picchu - From Wiñay Wayna, it takes about an hour to reach the iconic Sun Gate, or Inti Punku. After a 40-minute descent, visitors can capture breathtaking panoramic views of the archaeological site. After a guided tour of Machu Picchu, they will take a bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch. The group will gather at a restaurant before departing. After a train journey to Ollantaytambo, private transportation will return to Cusco.
