You have to do this tour with Wally! - Perfect trip to Palcoyo mountains. Extremely nice landscape. This was one of the highlights of Peru. I think we had the best guide for this journey: Wally. Thank you very much for a fabulous day.

Amazing rainbow mountain experience - Highly recommend this tour as this location is much less crowded than the other rainbow mountain. The guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and spoke good clear English. We were given a good amount of time to enjoy the place and take photos as well as allowed to do the short hike at our own pace. We were provided with hiking sticks though frankly you don't really need them. The breakfast and lunch provided was more than adequate. The tour was great value and an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

Magic - I really liked the tour our guide was always attentive to any need we had, he had enough knowledge about the place, the history and the tour. A very organized team, easy to communicate and with a very good sense of humor.

So beautiful! - What a view! We felt the hike was easier than Humantay lake hike even though it’s higher altitude. The walk path was nicer. Our guide Nilton was very informative and helpful. Totally recommended to anyone.

Amazing Polcoyo Mountain tour - Polcoyo Mountain, very beautiful tour, the experience worth it totally, our tour guide Robinson and our driver were very joyful and willing to help us and explained all the details of the place. They were patience and allow us to go on our own speed. The mountains incredible, with an amazing landscape. I’ll definitely do it again.

Very good tour guide and landscapes are amazing! - Nice tour. Robinson is a very good tour guide and gave us details of the history of the region. Mountains are beautiful and landscapes have a lot of colors. We decided to choose this tour despite Montana de los 7 colores as this is less crowded. We could see one of the highest mountains of Perú.

Misleading tour operator, late pick up time, bad breakfast and lunch options - The tour operator on the page was Chullos Travel but at the day of arrival another tour operator was sent. The bus was not on time to pick up from hotel. The breakfast and lunch buffet option was very mediocre. The tour guide for the outsourced agency was nice as could be but did not speak English. The bus ride back was terrible, it was so hot even though we had requested the air conditioning to be turned on.

Great scenery, not a great company - The landscape was spectacular which made the shortcomings of the tour bearable. I booked an English speaking tour and the guide only spoke Spanish. My Spanish is reasonable but I found her extremely difficult to understand and whilst she was a very pleasant person, I missed doing part of the walk because I was unclear which track was dangerous and which was the safe route for the petrified forest. The other thing worth mentioning is that the food provided on the trip was extremely poor and I was not alone in eating just bread and plain pasta. Go to Polcoyo for the scenery but maybe use a different company.

Great tours, great guides... But horribly disorganized pickup procedure! - This trip was great and the guides for this and my previous tour with this company (Humantay Lake) were wonderful, BUT... This company's pickup procedure is incredibly disorganized. The first tour I did with them, I was told I would be picked up at my hostel between 4:40 and 4:50am. I waited outside in the dark and freezing cold, alone in front of my hostel, until I was finally picked up at about 5:30am-- nearly an hour after my scheduled pickup! I climbed into the can to find that I was the last to be picked up, and got squeezed into a middle seat in the back for the long bus ride. I thought perhaps this was a fluke, so when Chullos was one of the only companies I could find running an affordable Palccoyo group tour, I messaged them and asked to meet the group at the first pickup point (the Plaza) instead of my hostel to avoid having to wait and end up getting picked up last again. I even confirmed via text the night before to make sure. This time was even worse! I was told my pickup window was 4:30-4:50am, and once again was at the Plaza at 4:30 on the dot. Not having received any updates or a contact number for the guide by 4:40am, I messaged to make sure they were on their way. I was told they were close. Spoiler alert: they were not. They had, in fact, forgotten to message the guide with my pickup information, and when he finally arrived at 5:20am (again, almost an hour after pickup time) I discovered that they had already picked up the rest of the group and were on their way, when the company called to tell them to turn around and get me! If it happened to me twice in a row, I can't imagine I'm the only one. The yours themselves were great, but beware: you may wait a LONG time and have issues with pickup. If you book this company, make sure you triple check with them to confirm your pickup info, including the morning of, and get a direct contact number for the guide!
