From Cusco to Aguas Calientes Town by Train

Cusco - Guests will be picked up from their Cusco hotel between 3 AM and 7 AM. The exact pickup time will be confirmed 24 hours before the tour. A private van will then transport guests to the Poroy Train Station.

Poroy - Enjoy the stunning landscape of the high Andes and views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, surrounded by fields of crops and lush vegetation, high mountains with glaciers, archaeological sites, and indigenous communities. The journey will cross the Vilcanota River, also known as the Urubamba River. From Pachar, the route follows the river to the town of Aguas Calientes, offering glimpses of the daily life of the Andean people and jungle vegetation during the 4-hour drive.

Aguas Calientes - Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, staff will be waiting to guide guests to comfortable accommodations. After lunch, there will be free time to explore the surrounding natural landscapes.

From Aguas Calientes Town to Machu Picchu and back to Cusco City

Aguas Calientes - This is a significant day as guests will explore Machu Picchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. The Machu Picchu sanctuary opens at 6:00 AM. The day begins with breakfast at the hotel, followed by a briefing from the guide on the restrictions of Machu Picchu. Guests will then take a bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu park.

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu and a personal passport are required. Once inside the Inca city, a 3-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu will be provided.

Machu Picchu Park was declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO. This significant archaeological park was built by the Inca Pachaquteq around 1450. Guests can admire the architecture, Inca hydraulic engineering, and important sites of the archaeological center.

Aguas Calientes - After visiting Machu Picchu, guests will board a bus back to Aguas Calientes to enjoy lunch at one of the excellent restaurants in Machu Picchu. It is important to arrive at the train station 30 minutes before departure to board the train to Ollantaytambo.

Ollantaytambo - In Ollantaytambo, a representative will be waiting to provide a 2-hour transport back to Cusco.

Cusco - Upon arrival in Cusco, guests will be taken to their accommodation.
