- Aguas Calientes - The train ride takes approximately 1 and 45 minutes, passing through beautiful landscapes of the high Andes and the Cloud Forest. Upon arrival at the final train station, your tour guide will meet you and take you to the bus station for a 30-minute ride to Machu Picchu.
- Machu Picchu - You will arrive at the main gate of Machu Picchu around 10:00 am. Please bring your entry tickets and original passports to present at the gate before exploring Machu Picchu with your Peru Hikers expert guide.
- Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Your tour guide will show you the most important buildings, including the viewpoints, guard house, terraces, temples, palaces, and more.
- Machu Picchu - A two-hour guided tour awaits, filled with historical insights and ample opportunities for capturing the iconic beauty of this ancient wonder.
- Aguas Calientes - Following the tour, a bus ride takes you to Aguas Calientes. You’ll then catch a train back to Ollantaytambo

Amazing day at Machu Picchu with Isao and Peru Hikers! - We arrived in Machu Picchu and knew we wanted a local guide to help us appreciate the wonder of Machu Picchu. We were VERY fortunate to book with Isao and Peru Hiker. If you are staying in Cusco or the Sacred Valley you will not find a more engaging and knowledgeable guide. The day was already going to be memorable and Isao made it the best possible! Whether you are in Cusco or Aguas Calientes be sure you travel with Isao and Peru Hikers!

Great Guide - It was a great day. The train was a lot of fun and the service was attentive. Everything ran very smoothly and there was a lot of English spoken to help us out. Our Macchu Picchu tour guide, Esau/ Isa was great. He knew so much about the site and really enhanced our experience. It was so beautiful and so much fun!

Best experience with Peru Hikers! - Peru Hikers and our guide Isao were the absolute best. We did the Machu Picchu day trip and full day Rainbow Mountain trips from Cusco on back to back days. The attention to detail in all the travel plans and the organization was top tier. On the tour Isao was extremely knowledgeable of all the details, moved at our pace, and more than anything a blast to hang out with. Also, added bonus — Isao was an amazing photographer! I can’t recommend Peru Hikers enough will be coming back to do more with them in the future.

Isao is just a fantastic guide. - Simply amazing service, our guide Isao was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate everything. He was able to answer all our questions. He never rushed my elderly parents as we navigated Machu Picchu stairs. He even took family pictures for us.

Amazing Trip with the best guide! - Peru Hikers is the best tour company! They communicated at each step of the way, the guides were on time and knowledgeable. Isao was a fantastic guide! We learned about the history of Machu Picchu, the Incan people and ended with a delicious lunch.
I HIGHLY recommend Peru Hikers!

Great tour! - We had a great day on Peru Hikers tour via the vistadome train and day trip at Machu Picchu —each step of the way we met a kind and helpful tour guide from hotel pick up to the train to the bus and all the way up to the site! Isao was the best guide and was very knowdledeable!
