Film Landscape - Amazing scenery, all effort was rewarded in the end. Walking requires physical effort, but there is the option of climbing with a rental horse for those who prefer. Hotel pick-up, breakfast and lunch included in the Vacation Package. The Guide Alfredo was very helpful and attentive to everyone. He has a lot of knowledge and explained everything to us.

Nice Day hike - This was an excellent day hike to thhe turqouise lagoon off the city of Cusco. we started early in the morning from Cusco and drove for over an hour to the base camp where we stopped for breakfast, we then drove a bit more and started hiking up. The hike was somewhat challenging but totally rewarding. The view from the top was jaw dropping. Thanks to Machu Picchu Best for organising such an amazing trip.

Excellent tour guide, overall experience a bit weather-dependent. - Our guide was very professional, friendly and enthusiastic. The pick-up was punctual and the driver gained also quickly my confidence (the drive near the top can get a bit tricky if it rains a lot). Five stars for the tour company. For the tour itself: The early pick-up (4 am) is brutal and the drive is a bit long. The hike on the other hand is relatively short and hence not very physically demanding (do expect however a tough one hour of uphill). The lake as such is indeed beautiful, however one needs a bit of luck that it doesn't get too foggy (often the case), as the surrounding mountains with their snowed peaks account for half of the beauty of the landscape. Unavoidably, once at the lake you will bump into many other tourists from other groups and the stay itself is short. Overall, a somewhat disproportionate time and effort to arrive to the lake vs the time to enjoy it, but personally I did not regret it. If you decide to do the tour, then I recommend this tour operator.
