Julio Vargas is an excellent walking tour guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about his city. - I had the pleasure of joining a free walking tour led by Julio Vargas, and it was truly one of the highlights of my visit. Julio is an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his city and its history. From the moment the tour began, Julio made everyone feel welcome. His storytelling brought the streets to life, blending historical facts with fun anecdotes and local insights that you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. He was patient with questions, always had a smile on his face, and clearly knew how to tailor the experience to the group’s interests. What stood out most was how Julio connected the past with the present, giving us not just a history lesson but a deeper understanding of the culture, politics, and people. His enthusiasm is infectious, and his love for his hometown shines through in every stop. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the city in an authentic and memorable way. Thank you, Julio!

Great tour and great tour guide - Best tour for a good intro of Cusco. Erick is a great tour guide, knowledgeable, funny, and very efficient. We covered all the key landmarks, enjoyed the san blaz neighborhood, and music instruments demonstrations and free pisco sour. Great overall. Highly recommend

Did exactly as advertised. - We arrived slightly late and were out with Eric. He manoeuvred our group around brilliantly highlighting the beautiful and historical side of cusco. He showed us some “hidden gems”- places you would never see wandering around yourself. We went in to a lute makers place and Eric showed his musical skills on Incan instruments and later guitars. We ended up in a shop with Pisco sours. After the tour we went to a place recommended by him which was great for lunch.

Tour was relatively... - Tour was relatively lackluster - we saw the sights, but we didn’t really learn much history and it was more people than advertised (closer to 20 vs the 10 max). Also no advertisement that the guides only work for tips - especially since we were hustled for a larger tip than we felt the tour warranted. Overall disappointing experience.
