Cochahuasi Animal Sanctuary - In the morning, a vehicle will collect you from your hostel or Airbnb location, or alternatively at the designated gathering spot, to transport you to the sanctuary. We promise a distinctive and memorable experience. You’ll spend a delightful day among indigenous animals from the highlands and rainforest regions. You’ll encounter in their habitats: monkeys, macaws, turtles, deer, pampas cats, alpacas, bears, wild felines, foxes, condors, and more. Our aim is to support and impart knowledge about our mission, which focuses on education. Hence, we extend an invitation to educational institutions and the general populace to instill in youngsters the importance of respecting our natural world and its creatures. We aspire to release some of these animals back into their natural environments. Interacting with the animals is an experience you won’t forget. Following the excursion, guests will enjoy some leisure time as this tour is exclusively for them, and we offer flexible return transportation to their lodgings or to Cusco’s central plaza.
At the conclusion of the tour, visitors will find a shop offering alpaca products, where 50% of the proceeds benefit the animals and the other 50% go to the local farming communities near the sanctuary. These sales help maintain the sanctuary’s operations, as we do not receive governmental aid.
