A great experience - I recommend the VIP tour as we were able to feed a couple of the animals and hear their stories. This place is amazing, the people there work so hard to give these animals a better life.

Lovely experience - Booked a last minute activity at the Cochahuasi Sanctuary and was not disappointed. The VIP experience means you are collected by car from your hotel and returned to the same; you get a guide throughout the visit and get to feed some of the animals. It was great to hear the backstories, how each animal had been rescued and how they were now looked after. Lots of opportunity for questions and pictures. You can see macaus, pumas, llamas, alpacas and vicunias, condors, monkeys and more. Recommended.

The animals here are all very well cared for and the staff are absolutely lovely. The condors were also very cool, I didn’t realise how big they are. If you’re an animal lover like me…. GO!

Fantastic! Must see! - Probably the best part of our trip to Peru! The staff was knowledgeable, not only knowing facts about the species, but also knowing each animal’s name and personality. It was very clear that the staff cared passionately about each of the animals they looked after. The facility was clean, the animals looked well taken care of, and it was busy during our tour, which was great! I’m glad so many people visit and support this wonderful place!

If you're interested in... - If you're interested in animals, it's well worth a visit! The animal sanctuary is about half an hour outside of Cusco, and you learn about the different animals there, including being able to feed some of the animals! From llamas and alpacas to bears and big cats! The driver who took us there also stopped several stops for photo opportunities too!

An experience to remember. - They arranged a wonderful driver to pick us up. He only spoke Spanish but he and my husband managed to communicate quite well. We had an english speaking guide, and we were able to get so close to the Peruvian condor that it was amazing. He told us which animals they are rehabbing to be released back into the wild and the rescue animals from people who have to stay. One toucan had been used by his previous owners to open bottles, which eventually destroyed his beak. 2 years later, it has grown back. Some of the released animals have returned and stay there, so you know they are getting great care. Amazing experience.

Unforgettable, inspiring, and just so COOL! - This sanctuary was not only amazing and impressively managed by people who are clearly knowledgeable and care, but it’s probably one of the experiences I’ll remember forever (the good, the service, the landscape and all the textiles were beautiful, unique, and so professional (here I’m thinking of the service)). But, if you are in the Cuzco area, I could not recommend this more. Not only did we get excellent close up pics of the animals, but we even got some curious monkeys (arranged by our guide) to climb all over us. An unforgettable and inspiring experience.
