PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT - CITY TOUR

Sacsayhuaman - A representative from Chullos Travel Peru will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a free morning to rest and acclimate. At 2:00 pm, you’ll be picked up from your hotel for a city tour, starting with a 45-minute guided visit to Koricancha (Temple of the Sun). Afterward, a 30-minute drive will take you to Sacsayhuaman (from Quechua Saqsay = place of satiation and Waman = Falcon, meaning “place where the Falcon is satiated”). Next, visit Qenqo (a ritual center on a rocky outcrop), a place filled with mysticism that you’ll feel upon entering the rock formation. A 15-minute drive will then bring you to PucaPucara (red fortress), a military construction. The last stop is Tambomachay, known as the Inca Bath, where water rituals were performed. After the tour, we’ll return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 7:00 pm.

SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS - AGUAS CALIENTES

Sacred Valley of the Incas - We’ll pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am to begin the tour of the Sacred Valley. After a 1.5-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the archaeological site of Pisaq for a guided tour of approximately 1 hour. Following the river Willkamayu (Sacred River), we’ll reach Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, where we’ll enjoy a buffet lunch featuring typical Andean cuisine. After lunch, a 30-minute drive will take us to the town of Ollantaytambo to visit its archaeological site, including a 1-hour guided tour of the Temple of the Sun, The Intihuatana, the Princess Baths, and Andean terraces. We’ll then head to the train station to board a train to Aguas Calientes, where we’ll spend the night. In the evening, your guide will visit your hotel to provide details for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

LOST CITY OF THE INKAS MACHUPICCHU

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Early in the morning, we’ll take a bus to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. Enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour, followed by free time in Aguas Calientes for lunch. We’ll then head to the station to board a train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a representative from Chullos Travel will meet us with a sign displaying your name and transfer you back to Cusco and your hotel. Note: Machu Picchu tickets are subject to availability and can only be purchased through the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

INCA BRIDGE OF Q’ESWACHAKA

Qeswachaka Peru Tours - The tour begins with a 7:00 am pick-up from your hotel. After nearly two hours of travel south of Cusco, we’ll visit the four lagoons. After a peaceful moment by the lagoons, we’ll visit the small Pabellones volcano near the town of Yanaoca. Next, we’ll arrive at the impressive Inca bridge, a hanging bridge made of vegetable fiber (Ichu) over the Apurímac River in the district of Quehue. This bridge dates back to the Inca period and is renovated annually by the local communities. Before the renovation, an offering is made to Pachamama as a sign of respect and gratitude. You’ll have the chance to cross the Inca bridge from both sides. On our way back to Cusco, we’ll make a final stop at the Inca colonial bridge of Checacupe to observe the differences between the two bridges. The tour concludes in Cusco at approximately 5:00 pm.
