PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT - CITY TOUR
Plaza de Armas - A representative from Chullos Travel Peru will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have the morning free to rest and acclimate. At 2:00 PM, you will be picked up from the hotel for a city tour. The first stop will be Koricancha (Temple of the Sun). After a 30-minute drive, we will visit Sacsayhuaman for a guided tour of one hour. Next, we will visit Qenqo, a ritual center in a rocky outcrop, where you will feel the mysticism upon entering the rock formation. After a 15-minute drive, we will arrive at PucaPucara (Red Fort), a military construction. The last stop will be Tambomachay, known as the Inca’s Bath, where water worship was practiced. We will then return to Cusco, with an approximate arrival time of 7:00 PM.
SACRED VALLEY OF THE INKAS - AGUAS CALIENTES
Sacred Valley of the Incas - We will pick you up from the hotel at 8:00 AM to start the tour of the Sacred Valley. After a 1.5-hour drive, we will arrive at the archaeological site of Pisaq for a guided tour of approximately one hour.
Following the Willka Mayu River, or Sacred River, we will reach Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring typical Andean cuisine. After lunch, we will drive for 30 minutes to the town of Ollantaytambo to visit the archaeological site, where we will have a guided tour of one hour, highlighting the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, the Princess Baths, and the Andean terraces. We will then proceed to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night. In the evening, the guide will visit the hotel to provide all the details for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.
LOST CITY OF THE INKAS MACHUPICCHU
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - Early in the morning, we will take the bus to the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. We will have a guided tour of 2 hours and 30 minutes. Afterwards, you will have free time in the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. We will then head to the station to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a Chullos Travel representative will be waiting with a sign bearing your name to transfer you to a vehicle for the return trip to Cusco and your hotel.
“Machu Picchu tickets are subject to availability, with the Ministry of Culture of Peru being the only authorized entity to sell these tickets.
