Bear Tour in the Transylvanian Alps - We did the tour on a rainy day. Nevertheless, the tour was very nice and partly the mountain landscape looked even more beautiful due to the clouds and the fog. Our guide Danny was very nice and has always responded to our wishes. We also saw a total of 12 bears along the way.

Top Gear Roadtrip - Kudos to our driver guide for maneuvering the winding road. It is an adventurous roadtrip, indeed. Road has many twists and turns enroute to the top; and may cause carsickness to a few individuals. For me, I did not feel dizzy at all. But for others who are sensitive to frequent turns, take antisickness medication to lessen the impact. Also, bring a jacket/coat. Bucharest might be warm during summers even on a cloudy day, but the weather can be wet and windy at the Bâlea Lake.

Tour guide - I appreciated being left alone (doing my own things) while at Trasfagarasani, simply because we did not have to wait after the whole group and could visit what we wanted as long ad we d be back on time. We had Julian, very friendly and nice tour guide, describing most of the time, things that even i, as a Romanian, didn t know. Very informative and a pleasant trip overall!!

11 OUT OF 10 - Everything went so smoothly! Mauritz was a great guide, very personable and knowledgeable. To say the views are impressive is an understatement. I almost feel like I must compete, but are group saw 12 bears which included a mother and 2 cubs. Very worthwhile trip in my opinion. My only advice is to make sure you wear enough clothes for the chilllllll at the top!

It's a wonderful experience... - It is a wonderful and exciting experience. The landscapes are varied, wild, uncontaminated. We have crossed fourteen bears, between adult and cub specimens. Unforgettable.

Unforgettable tour with Marius - The tour with Marius was perfectly organized – we saw many bears, had enough time on site and could enjoy everything in peace. A great trip, definitely highly recommended!

Great trip - We loved the road trip and was lucky to see some bears. The market through the tunnel was lovely. We went with Get your guide and our guide,Danny was lovely and knowledgeable. Scenery was stunning,Top gear were right,, the Transfaragan road is beautiful. The only thing that let it down unfortunately was the other guests on the coach. Some were loud and rude and ruined what should have been an enjoyable journey

Beautiful landscapes, road... - Beautiful scenery, good road, maybe a few more stops would have been useful (but the road is narrow for a bus).

Horrific - How to Ruin A Holiday in Romania - Meeting time 7:30 - I arrive early, go round the corner for breakfast and coffee. Go back to the meeting point at 7:28. I stand waiting until 8am. No one is there. Operator does not answer phone or respond to messages. Worst experience I’ve ever had on a tour. And I’ve used Viator in three continents in several different countries. Can’t believe this has been allowed to happen. I then ended up renting a car for £122 to go and do the tour myself. To rub salt into the wound Viator rejected my request for a refund as the operator wouldn’t allow it - how can they even have a say in this? This operator needs to be struck off. Totally inexcusable.
